Ban multiboxing

One person with 5 accounts going out and farming will have significantly less influence than the AH goblin who spends all day playing the AH.

There is a significant difference.

Botting = automation

Multiboxing =/= automation

It’s really that simple.

so having an account is exploiting? well shoot Blizzard should ban EVERYBODY right now and then WoW will finally die

seriously the twisted logic of some people is truly mindboggling I think their aluminum fedora is too tight

only time i ever had an issue with any other multiboxers was i was standing there farming cloth on this mage, down comes 15 druids, and starts nuking everything within sight…like seriously. why take this spot from me, when there is a higher populated spot just down the way.

A multiboxer is farming mats and selling them on the AH. They are not mass manipulating the market. Do you just lump the whole world of everyone who isn’t you as bad people?

Psst… Psst… Hey, hey kid… c’mere…

I know a way to get like 6, 8, 10 times more from a gathering node than any other character can. Heck, you can get everything from nodes, shut 'em down so no one else can get any.

It does take some software to do and there is an upfront cost but if you apply yourself you can get that down to almost nothing.

It does exploit the multitap system for nodes. But hey, they wouldn’t have put it there if they didn’t want you to use it.

Eventually you are raking in gold and gatherables, whadaya say kiddo? You in?

Someone with a gathering skill can gather 100% more than someone without a gathering skill. Guess we should ban people who pick up gathering skills.

And its all completely acceptable as stated by the owner of the game, doesnt actually require software other than windows 10, and because of the token system can be done completely for free?

Sounds good.

Nodes were designed exclusively for characters with gathering skills. The design has a flaw though and Boxers exploit that flaw to great advantage.

I don’t really blame the devs before-hand. The multitap feature looked like a great way to short circuit anger over node races.

But it turned out to be a major vulnerability when mixed with Boxing.

The real fault lies in not applying any thought to it after the fact.

I don’t even blame the boxers. Everyone is allowed to purchase as much advantage as they want. If you have the ability to do so, why would you not?

Its the developers who forget that they allow this exploit and make the decision to stock all of a gatherable in one place.

You made the bed WoW.

Yeah its lumpy, but you have to deal with it or we get this kind of thing. Just spread out your resources so everyone except Accounting can forget the Boxers exist.

The problem is with the resource itself. Even if multiboxing wasn’t allowed, Zin’anthid would still suck to farm. It’s an older zone now, so it has fewer shards being created, which means each shard has a higher percentage of herbalists in it. Getting rid of multiboxing wouldn’t have any real impact on that.

I have a suggestion. How about you stow the posturing nonsense when you are discussing something. You find nothing hilarious. Nothing is amusing. We are bored people typing things on a forum.

Not much difference than taking a guild raid team to Burning Steppes with a bunch of skinners, and nuking all the dragonkin to farm scales for resist gear. What we used to do in a guild I used to be in back in the day. Folks out questing complained a lot lol. They tried to ban us for playing the game also  Better start banning guilds that form groups to farm mats now lol.

An astroglide powered slippery slope to carry you into a low earth orbit.

That’s 10 times as many herbs in the auction house. Boy is that great for prices! Why don’t you just buy stuff in the AH?

You want to make money from gathering? Well, you can’t. Not 1+ years into an expansion. It just doesn’t work. And multi-boxing is not the problem.

Every new expansion, I start as a gatherer. Herb and ore prices start off very high, and then drop. Initially they range from 20 to 70, with rare ones 200+. After some time everything is 5g and eventually 0.5g to 2g. Every expansion for 15 years.

It has NOTHING to do with multiboxing. Any way of making gold in this game gets more and more players doing it, until prices drop. That has always been true.

I want to make gold. So after 1 to 3 months I stop gathering and do other stuff.

Maybe that’s because nobody’s buying zin’anthid anymore. Because it’s the end of the expansion and everything that requires it has already been crafted.

Here is the ladder of authority in this game for the challanged Blizzard>TOS>Players. If Blizzard says something is ok then whatever the TOS says dont mean a damn. Any other time you will play the game like the TOS following you around like a crazed stalker

well blizzard he screams for change game is to easy for him and it only took 9 clones

It is the same, because its 5 CHARACTERS. One person having 5 characters is the same as 5 people with individual characters. There is no power imbalance, because its not about how many people but how many characters.

Its a magical stretch of the brain they perform. For some reason, they can’t grasp the concept that what happens in game as all that matters, and that somehow, multiple characters being controlled by one person somehow makes those characters… not characters in game. Its like they cease to exist as toons.

wrong so many ways … it still sells but way lower because botting multiboxers are flooding the market place.
