Ban Discord

Discord is the reason why everyone on WoW is antisocial, it’s also the reason why RMT and Boosting is so widespread within the Community.

Before you dismiss the truth, please educate yourself based on my points:

  • Discord is the reason why massive Gold/RMT Communities across that are cross-server, it’s the easiest way for Illegal Actors to set up operations and conduct their activities without Blizzard’s approval.
  • Discord communities killed in-game communities, almost everyone who joins a guild or group in 2022 will be prompted to a Discord server where they will spend all of their time instead of in-game talking and interacting with the world.
  • Discord is also unregulated/unmoderated by Blizzard, therefore people can do all types of Doxxing/Illegal activities and Blizzard technically can’t use it as evidence despite overwhelming support of that evidence based on the proof.

These are only some of the reasons why I believe Discord should be banned from WoW, there are many many more if you really sit down and think about how negative Discord has been towards our general Community.

I want to go back 17 years to a WoW where all we had was in-game chat and our imagination, I want to relive the glory days of the game and not be forced to play with the Classic community.

So I urge you Blizzard, please ban Discord.

Make it so ANY Discord links put in-game as a bannable offense, investigate the accounts of those posting the Discord links for any sort of RMT and suspend players for not following the rules.

Let’s clean the game up and make WoW Great Again in 2022!

Yes, only form of communication should be in-game where Blizzard can moderate it.

It is not part of wow and cant be banned by wow
Everyone uses it for raiding and pvp so in turn blizzard would be shooting themselves in the foot for no good reason.

It’s also primarily used for RMT/Boosting, you can use the in-game chat and in-game voice channels too. Not a big deal.

There are accounts that literally post links to RMT websites in the group finder and trade chat. Has Blizz even fixed that yet?

They can’t because of all the people in this thread screaming that Blizzard can’t moderate what they can’t control.

Hence why they need more control, if everyone just uses in-game chats and in-game voice then we won’t have as much RMT or Boosting anymore in the Community.

People will interact more.
