I think with the way current culture is changing we will see moderation take a different turn then it has recently and these threads are kept open to get some idea on the pulse of what the community is shifting towards.
I mean…we have Rogues, they have lock picking… is anything in this setting ever truly “locked”?

You do realize that difference of opinion and racism are two different things. Some players were probably banned for difference of opinion rather than racism.
An opinion is fine and racism is unacceptable under any circumstance, and they are impossible to conflate without extraordinary amounts of intellectual dishonesty.
First thing you need to realize that most of the people posting here are full of crap and lie for attention. People make stuff up all the time since they can hide behind alts. If people had to post on their mains or account name that linked to their in-game character, it would get rid of a lot of the trolling on this anonymous forum. They post on alts so their friends in game and guildies can’t see how they really act, and they use the harassment/victim excuse to cover their behavior.
Second, nobody is getting banned for disagreeing, arguing or being mean.
People get banned/suspended for serious infractions.

Yes i agree racism is unacceptable, but in today’s culture it not about racism, but difference of opinion in which it’s some players get into trouble. For example: talking about gender in which it is ones of those hot topic that usually gets players into trouble. Gender has nothing to with racism, but difference of opinion. Woke Culture another hot topic, but again no racism. Just difference of opinion. Misinformation and disinformation another hot topic, but no racism. All about the opinions of players.

This is false. I was suspended for disagreeing. It took 6 appeals before someone apologized, said I did nothing wrong and reversed it.
