You should try reading that whole thing. It describes an automated, temporary squelch in response to a large volume of chat reports, which lasts for up to 24 hours or until a GM goes through the reports. No bans, at all.

The guy in the background rubber stamping is as humanly involved as it gets.
Either you believe me or not I really don’t care. It’s happened me and others I know in the game. Chat silenced over a disagreement not using anything abusive not even swearing. Was getting swore at but I was reported and was silenced for a week. Was during shadowlands unfortunately I cannot go back in time to get what you need for proof. All I know is its happened to me and others I know.

I’ve witnessed people on discord coordinating flagging people who did nothing but disagree. It happens, I can’t see the benefit or gain in pretending otherwise.

I love how the people claiming there’s some cartel of people abusing the report system also claim to be in the discord server where this is happening. “It happens, I’m the one who does it!”
