Baine Bloodhoof is a loser

Miss Rigatoni, do not blame Mister Bloodhoof.

It’s the god awful SL writers. Oh, the shame!

It’s so impressive, video warriors are sooooo macho sitting at their computers, fighting in virtual battles, pumping up their chests and mocking the idea that people who can’t handle the horrors of war or can’t handle being a POW are losers.

Of course they have a champion in high places.

Most characters the writers touch these day turn into hot garbage. Its why im happy my favorite characters are dead

We the Horde keep him around for a few factors. The first is he may be dumb but he is a beefcake, the heart of the Horde beats in his himbo chest. The second part is key to his ability to settle the Alliance down, they all see him and settle down, it’s like being sad till a dog comes in the room.

Finally, think most of us are waiting for Magatha to come back in and show him what a spine is.

But he was terrible before and after SL.

To be honest, I don’t really remember if he had any story before SL…

Was it in Highmountain? Hrm…

that isnt why Baine is horrible.

So what is why Baine is horrible? Obviously everything about him since SL is based on his PTSD.

He was horrible before SL.

I dont know why you think his “ptsd” has anything to do with how horrible he was before SL.

So is this just your opinion or can you give us something about him that makes him horrible?

Everything is just someone’s opinion.

But generally how he acted anti - Tauren and anti - Horde whenever he has any screen time.

He shames my boy Cairne.

He must have got PTSD from learning that his father was killed offscreen just like the playerbase did lol.

He was held and tormented as a POW and personally thrown off a mountain by Zovaal. That would give anyone PTSD.

Once the Alliance / Horde war ended in late BfA he was part of the larger alliance. In Legion the Alliance and Horde were working together against the Burning Legion. Is that what you are referring to or was it something earlier?

Baine is awesome! People are just mean!

I am referring to almost his entire story. During BFA, for example, he was a horrible character.

Baines quest line in DF was one of the best quests in DF. Need more vengeful giga shaman Baine.

Haters can hate.

The only time Baine was even slightly cool (in my opinion) is at the end of the Mulgore questing. The Grimtotem attacked, and you join Baine in fighting them back.

He hollers, “It took a coward’s poison and Garrosh’s rage to down my father! What chance do you have!?”

(Obviously not an accurate quote because I’m going off my memory here.)

When I did that quest on my then-baby Tauren Paladin, I perked up. “Ohhh,” I thought to myself, “Is he actually going to live up to Cairne’s legacy?”

And then over the course of Cata through WoD, he proceeded to repeatedly side with the Alliance at the Horde’s expense.

He actually said that the Alliance was “perfectly within their rights” to attack Camp Taurajo — a CIVILIAN town full with HIS OWN PEOPLE!! (Never mind that Blizzard eventually released a story attempting to forgive the Alliance by claiming that a commander went rogue and had the innocent, civilian Tauren killed.)

There’s also the fact that Baine exchanged weapons with Anduin and gave him part of his horn!?

And let’s not get into the whole “trial of Garrosh” mix.

There’s a very good reason so many Horde players, especially Tauren players, have hated Baine ever since Cataclysm.

He’s not worthy of Cairne’s legacy.

Baine made me happy but also madge in that story. Like he wanted to fight so much there and I was like… where was that for all of WoW!? But when he finally got pushed over and the thunder struck with his fist.
