Id need to see logs. You and i are similarly geared. Our secondary stats are very similar but youre saying you top at 1.1m? On which fights?
Im getting about 600k to 850k on fights (granted ive died before the fight finished). Only time i maintain over 1.1m is for about 40-50s after a fight starts. After that, we start to drop off. Even on my last kill on Princess, i was doing about 910k before i died and finished at 850k.
That seems right for Nexus. A lot of movement and it’s easy for vt to fall off with all the turning. The initial opener I do a massive insanity dump, stack the 4 set 5 times, pop pi right as I dump insanity, spam 7 or 8 mind flay insanities with pi.
Dying is ofcourse counted in judging your own performance, but it doesn’t make sense to count it when discussing wider issues with the performance of a spec as a whole.
The main issue is it’s complex, most spriest just suck at the game, the graph is skewed left and shows this. Our weakness is movement, you can get 10% speed with enchants and sail with everyone else.
My character sims the same. Sim vs reality are 2 different things. Ive rarely hit simc dps on any toon in the 15 years ive played this game. Theyre good baselines but NOT realistic.
If you can sustain that on a single target raid boss I’d sincerely like to know what you’re doing right and what I’m doing wrong. I can pull those numbers out in ideal scenarios, but only for a minute or so at a time when all the cooldowns are up.
I see this pop up periodically and it feels like almost everybody misunderstands that archon doesn’t make fort a 10% stamina buff. It just gives the priest itself another 5% stamina. Having 5% more stamina as a priest just gives you almost as much health as evokers, paladins, warlocks, and warriors that don’t have fort.
5% stam buff, and… mind flay is a slow that works on one target of the whole pack, outside of boss fights where it… doesn’t hit anything lol, unless you’re taking the halo slow talent i guess? have fun having less stops for casters then, which you then cite as a good thing, (most specs have an aoe stop, or even multiple) Fade is a decent damage reduction utility, and our damage does pick up in higher keys due to things not dying immediately, but to call us S tier in M+ is a joke lmao.
I’ve been trying to shape up my ilvl a bit beforehand, got some crafted pants and am wanting to upgrade my Sacbrood to something else, then i’ll be making some attempts c:
