Bad news for solo and world players

this is the only piece of gear that showed up on my druid on Tuesday when I went there - it was from the Zaqali Elders. I dont’ think I have any of the assault gear in my bags though since those never worked for weeks.

I’m pretty sure he’s made the claim that “the game is bleeding subs” for every patch since at least 9.1, so if that’s actually the case and not just typical trying to start forum drama I’d like to see some data that actually backs it up.

run enough M+ and you can be in full 441s within 1 week of capping now. it’s absurd.

yep, agreed.

Honestly, what they need to do is halve the rate the crest cap goes up for S3, while keeping costs the same. maybe also take a look at how plentiful end of dungeon loot is.

I wish they’d expand m+ gear rewards to like +25 or something at what most of the populace cannot accomplish. When M+ and CE difficulty align, I think Blizzard accomplished their task.

Imagine vault rewards the same, and 447s drop from 25s instead of people just doing 20s and getting 447 at end of the week.

(More people have killed M Sarkareth than have timed a +25 right now.)

That’s great to do an M+ re-scale, but as long as EoD has no lockout it will still cause people to gear incredibly fast compared to other options.

I don’t think gearing fast is an issue. World first guilds run so many splits. This just makes it more accessible to everyone else. I find it weird that m+ vault gives higher ilvl than end of dungeon rewards.

Blizzard revealed in their first report after DF that sales were down but retention was up for those who had purchased the expansion. Since then they have had 3 promotions. Insiders have said they were surprised that people haven’t come back to the game.

A lot of people have said they were leaving, but we have no way of comparing that to earlier expansion behavior, or different playstyles. Also we haven’t had an update on player retention, and I don’t expect to see one.

So all we have is blizzard saying “retention was up”, and supposition based on promotions?

That’s not looking good for the “bleeding subs” claim.

A lot of people say they are leaving on the forums, but then just swap to a different toon and keep posting.

Just do LFD/R n pretend the other players are potato-y npc’s.

They’re waiting on me to ding level 70 until then no gear!

I’ll get around to it… eventually.

the only thing in a suffusion camp i can’t solo is kretchwrath, so i guess i’m fine.

What OP’s complaining about is it being the exact same as last patch, just with higher ilvls.

It’s not though.

While there was only 1 world content set that was able to be catalyzed, it was also both the highest ilvl gear available to world content players and completely deterministic.

Suffused drops are RNG.

Suffused drops aren’t even the highest ilvl world content gear available.

I have a pair of 424/424 gloves I got from a fyrakk event drop and a pair of 431/437 gloves I got from the researchers event. I can catalyze the 424 pair but not the 431 despite both coming from weekly events in 10.1. That’s dumb.

Sources that weren’t catalyzable before (rep, world quest, heroic dungeons, world events, crafted, world weeklies) remained uncatalyzeable.

Sources that were catalyzable before, or their replacemtnts (sigil gear → suffused, world bosses) remain catalyzable.

Some of the other systems got a bigger ilvl buff relative to last patch than suffused is to storms 10.0.7 storms gear).

Except suffused is in no way a comparable or acceptable replacement to storms for numerous reasons.

Then your issue is with the suffused gear, not the catalyst. I guess the relative ilvl buff of 13 from launch wasn’t enough for you.

I mean normal raid ilvl went up what, 42-48? From 10.0 to 10.1

Also the ilvl is annoying but it’s not really my major concern. The bigger issue is suffused gear is both completely RNG and covers slots that aren’t even on the catalyst. This week from Fyrakk assaults I got a duplicate pair of gloves, a neck, and a cloak. Two of those items aren’t even tier slots and one of them I already had…

No, 26. Normal went from 389/398 to 415/424.

Primal storms gear started at 385, being upgradeable to 395 at the end of 10.0.7.
Now the suffused gear goes to 424 from day 1.
