Hey guys, I really hate needing to have alts and I have a group that will pretty much allow me to play whatever class I want (DPS WISE) I’ve been stuck between picking a balance druid and a Ele shammy. I don’t care about meta or stuff being top tier I just want something with a high skill cap that I wont get bored of. I’ve mained warrior for over 7 years now and its finally time to put the swords down. (I have no interest in tanking either just DPS and side spec healing)
But I’m stuck between picking a Nelf Druid or a Goat Shammy I love them both a lot and it also doesn’t help that I enjoy the resto specs of both classes as well, I also love the theme and class lore of them both, I love the nature and stuff as well but I also really love the moon and sun style of balance.
It’s really really hard for me to pick I’m the most indecisive person EVER!!!
TLDR
Does Ele Shammy or Balance Druid have a higher skill cap, what is less repetitive as well?

Why do you have to pick one or the other?
Play both.
I’d recommend the Ele shammy, simply due to not feeling gimped outside of your main cooldown windows.
And although neither 2-4 piece is overly appealing for either spec, both Resto specs looks great with their tier sets lol
But Shaman = better on demand any time burst as opposed to Balance needing a bit more set up.
I feel like it would be more effective to pump all my time into one toon instead of TWO at a time, I also have my TBC toon to level as well it’s just going to be a lot so im trying to be PICK on retail and one on TBC

They are both fun.
Gun to my head, I have to pick one? Druid… but that’s because druids are the best class in the game.

I’d say druid just because they have stealth.
Skipping npcs you don’t wanna fight is the best ability in the game imo.

The classes are actually color coded, just like items, for their quality.
Druid = Orange = Legendary
Demon Hunter = Purple = Epic
Shaman = Blue = Rare
Hunter = Green = Uncommon
Priest = White = Common
Warrior = Grey = Vendor Trash
Mage = Light-Blue = Heirloom
Activating quest stuff in flight form is the best ability in the game, easily.

Warriors are brown and where do paladins/rogue/DK fit in?
There is not a single reason to choose shaman over druid. Pve or pvp druid outshines shamans in everything.
Including resto shaman in mythic plus and enhance shaman single target DPS in raids?
Correct. Including those.
To clarify:
People should never take a resto shaman over a resto Druid in mythic plus, AND
Never take an enhancement shaman over feral in raid?
We don’t talk to shanaynay about M+
It’s just better to play a druid in every situation ever.
