Azeroth VS Earth. Who Would Win?

Time-travelling dragons. Azeroth wins.

edit; woops, didn’t mean to respond to your post in particular.

Someone obviously hasn’t been to war with the US of A and their Allied Forces.

We have some amazing stuff and things you can’t even imagine yet until they deem it safe to reveal to the public.

Do we have anti-gravity devices?

Rumor has it they’re close or have it already.

You think those tick tac things are Aliens.

Remember the stealth Bomber O.o

“Rumor”… as in not a confirmed statement. I rest my case.

Earth.

Azeroth can’t handle Lower Kara.

Many people here are like, WE HAVE NUKES WE WIN!!!

Yes, and Azeroth has mages that open portals and arcane mail your destructive bombs right back into the hearts of your biggest cities & military bases. Shamans in control of the Yellowstone Caldera when tourists can’t even keep 500 ft away from bison or elk that’d maul them to death. Let alone stay away from large stone, water, magma and wind elementals that would shred them. Or a laughing dwarf with a chain of lightning.

Warlocks summoning up a godzillion demons to possess people and make them act more souless and crazy than we already are. Then sit back and watch with entertainment as other people attempt exorcisms & annihilate themselves out of crazy paranoia that their friends and family have been demonically tainted. Woooo another Inquisition!!

I’d say that alone is enough to vote that Azeroth wins. But then, you have Demi Gods and entities that actually answer Azerothians prayers and requests with actual physical manifestations of magic. On earth we just “pray really hard” and hope for the best. Whatever earthlings needed a tangible physical faith would probably convert over to Azerothian pantheons, because they can see and interact with the deities.

Also, the ability that Azeroth’s citizens can repeatedly mass resurrect their fallen. We just die and hope our kids can crank out enough offspring to keep the fight and civilization going.

Edit: Also, Azeroth has dragons that literally can alter time. Check. Mate.

In this thread, people who have never kept up with modern military technology.

You say that Azeroth and the Iron Horde have what we have? Are you kidding me? Have you heard of intercontinental ballistic missiles?

Azerothian artillery operates over distances on the order of dozens of meters. We blow things up from time zones away, and more. Even during the Cold War we had the ability to target things within a few thousand miles.

How about the firebombing of Tokyo during WW2? That is Forsaken-style, but with 80-year-old tech.

We have FLEETS of jets and bombers that break the speed of sound multiple times over. A single jet would annihilate Stormwind.

Regardless of what you think of the American military budget, you think it’s just for show?

The Vindicaar is the only thing that poses a threat and even then it’s a slow, single vessel.

And yet, we’re still not interstellar, as a whole Azeroth still has everything we do, AND MORE.

Combat mechs (most militiaries world wide are barely in the exosuit phase of this development and even those aren’t armed)
light speed space ships
anti-grav devices
advanced cybernetics
TARDIS tech
etc.

I know a lot of the tech the professions and stuff use ISN’T quite canon, but the stuff we do see used canonically is still possibly years and quite a few civilization level leaps above what we currently have. Arthur C. Clarke would have a field day.

do we have time-travel?

My ponytailed, tie died, 75yr old glass blowing instructor says he does that every weekend.

Player characters can, for gameplay purposes, but story wise, not so much, and remember, the guns that are used that we see alot of are most similar to ‘cowboy guns’ meaning they still use black powder and even the rifles function like muskets or rolling block rifles, they don’t have NEARLY the force of the modern day 5.57, let alone anything Ma Duece could spit out, and that’s not including our rocket propelled danger putty ropes, the Grenade Machine Gun, or the 'Hog!

I always found this a funny element to WoW as a whole, given the Alliance is clearly industrial era+, but still use swords and old west style firearms?

Who needs guns when you can shoot fireballs.

Just cast mind control and win

That can be destroyed by a buff midget with a rock on a stick

The only ‘space ship’ we’ve seen in ‘Azerothian’ hands is the crashed one the Dranei brought with them and it more warps than uses light speed, and I’ve not seen any weapons enplacements on the dang thing for anti ship or anti air, heck, wasn’t it shot down originally?

Magitech hover stuff you mean? Heck, that’s assuming their magic would keep working exactly the same way it currently does, and it’s 100% not a common thing issued to soldier, I’ve rarely seen any anti-grav type stuff used

Uh…if you’re refering to the Mecha-Gnomes, you are completely off base here, they were being reverted to pre-curse of flesh state, it’s not cybernetics.

You mean non-euclidian spaces? Outside magic stuff, I’ve not seen this, at all.

Heck, even the space ships and combat mechs use magic to function, so your entire premise is ‘they would win cause they got magic’ with that post.

Uh…no, they aren’t ‘industrial era+’. They don’t have major factories churning out goods at an insane speed, infact, pretty much every craft is a major trade skill with all goods still being hand made, even with the dwarves and gnomes they still make their stuff all by hand.

True we definitely wouldn’t social distance

I had a patient explain to me that we don’t need to worry because he was in the future and the accident we were at happened a long time ago for him.

OK SIR BUT YOU ARE BLEEDING NOW

Your a dwarf. Use your racial trait soldier and use a pot.
