First off I would like to thank Blizzard for having these tournaments. These are super fun to watch and I look forward to every season of competition. These are fantastic and I love watching them.
That said, I want to say that I am loving seeing ele shamans in there. There are some classes that are just fun to watch and for me, ele shaman is one of them. Second only to boomkins. I missed the live yesterday and am now catching up on the Vod. I am really hoping to see boomkin play in the Arena. Watching highly skilled boomkin play is just enjoyable. I have not seen one appear on EU so I am holding out hope that NA brings them to the AWC this season. I love them and love watching them. They make Arena exciting, jumping around, casting, switching forms, and on and on. Please come through on that NA!
The casters are great and Supatease is my favorite. Don’t get me wrong they are all great but for me, he is the standout. He’s the best at explaining what is exactly is happening and the details. Thoroughly enjoy listening to him cast. I don’t watch sports. I have no clue what’s going on in most of the popular ones but because I play this game and many of the classes I understand what’s going on and Supatease is excellent at describing what’s being used etc.
Lastly, I just want to compliment all of the Arena teams and players even those that are not in the tournament. I am in awe at how well many of you play and how well you know the classes you play. It really adds to the game and community that we have skilled players like you all.

Are you held hostage from Blizzard? Like this comment so we can send help, no way someone can simp that hard considering the state of the game. Did you watch it at all? Ret doing as much healing than dmg, MC bug, people abusing tank legendaries making them literally unkillable (4 sec GotFQ on a 45sec CD for ret pals), Bopping the Night Fae seed, Hpals only and every game?
AWC is about waac. It’s not friendly competition or about whether the game is balanced. That’s like blaming the salary cap abuse when your recruiter picks trash draft picks every year.
Survival hunter is one of the funnest specs to watch and to play with too… i just love them and it makes me really sad to see them so far from meta right now.
Even with nerfs I think Hpal will remain strong, with double BOP, sac and Divine Shield they counter this one shot meta pretty solidly with all their immunities.
What I would like to see, with these nerfs, is better CDs for other healers to play around, since MW get blasted through cocoon, disc priest through dome, etc.
With how horribly Vers works as a “PvP stat,” we’ll soon be having 15 min avg games with 20+ min on the higher end. The average duration of the AWC games today were still way too high, I’d guess 7-8 min? I didn’t expect their dampening tuning to get changed coming into Shadowlands, but I did expect long boring drawn out games where either no one dies unless someone randomly gets one shot or goes to 60%+ dampening.
Activision throws a beta-tuned-at-best expansion at us and we just gobble up their sht product.
