AV que times getting into 2hrs?

Part of the reason Alliance don’t defend is because it’s just harder. Stonehearth graveyard is out in the open with no tower support at all. Once horde capture it, it because the most well defended objective in the game because of the choke point at the top of the hill and the distance between the stormpike spawn and the Stonehearth spawn.

Except all the good pvprs on horde are doing wsg premise as it is the highest honor per hour atm.

Way to be 1 week behind on the meta moron.

If your horde and still pugging av for honor it means your not a very good player.

I actually play both horde and alliance. Your name is very fitting. Props on that

You are missing the point. Most of us dont have a problem with horde strategy. I personally agree with it. It is how we used to do it from vanilla onward. You just need to stop crying about queues when you are causing them. I haven’t seen one alliance upset about the queues and most dont care what you do. They just arent going to queue to sit through it, which increases your queue. Remember it was you who came here to complain.

Yes actually, just AV. Works for us.

Keep up the salty tears Alliance

what you expect?

You expect to win 100% of the time and alliance will keep queuing? Wait till you’re at 5 hours

Unfortunately, there are a lot of reasons why Alliance is at a pretty significant disadvantage in AV that has nothing to do with the players, and sadly, horde queues will just get longer and longer for as long as Classic exists.

I hope you can get done what you want in there before they hit 3 and 4 hours.

If the map is going to be asymmetric then the starts need to be randomized. That way if there is a bit of advantage to a side you’ll at least have an even chance of getting it.

Wow it’s almost like too many people chose horde

Nope, it’s about the same.

Let him keep waiting and killing av bots in av to feel good.

He won’t be able to fight the decay soon since all the high ranking hordes are farming wsg while this guy can wait 2 hrs for que

Horde and alli honour cap on my server last week was 1M on both sides

or just stopped signing up, I stopped just to ensure they go as long as possible.

Hope your queues get to 3-4 hours. You guys deserve every wasted minute.

Not sure if brag because that sounds terrible, our sever is small enough were the horde only focus av and our caps are around 700k with a pool of 600.

Please ignore the alliance being jerky factionists in here.

I play both factions but primarily Alliance, I do have at least one 60 of both factions.

I can truly tell you that the horde has a relatively significant advantage in av, and it makes the experience as alliance really unpleasant, all other factors being equal.

Thus, Alliance tends to grind out exalted rep and then be done forever, unless trying to rank.

AV is much more fun and much more successful on my shaman than my paladin, and it’s because the horde just have too much of a terrain advantage in starting 25% of the way up the map.

That starting position was likely balanced in the earlier versions of the map when you had landmines, more and stronger npcs, etc.

But, the notable fact that the horde starting cave was moved far back in early TBC (which is classic, let’s be real), indicates that it IS a problem.

i dont think it was BC.

I’ll go look.

25-Mar-2008, patch 2.4 (Sunwell Patch).

  • Major buffs have been applied to Warmasters and Marshalls; Warmasters and Marshalls now increase each other’s maximum health and maximum damage by 25%. This is a stacking buff.
  • The Horde cave has been moved significantly south, so Horde players start very near to the Frostwolf Keep.
  • Join as Party returns to Alterac Valley. (NOTE: “Join as Party” does NOT mean “Join as Group”. Only 5 players can queue at the same time.)
  • The time required for the first capture of Snowfall graveyard has been reduced from five minutes to four.

edit it was BC but last content patch of BC.

Ok, so not EARLY tbc, then :stuck_out_tongue:

But seriously, all faction biased arguments aside.

The horde has something like a 90-95% win rate in AV, everyone knows this.

It was ALSO like this in 1.12 vanilla (but NOT earlier versions) and all throughout tbc.

The starting location really IS the problem. If the horde cave was moved back in classic, right now, you would quickly see the alliance start to do much better in AV.

That is the main problem.

If it were fixed, Alliance would have higher morale and enjoy the bg more, and therefore queue up more, and horde queue times would decrease.

Edit: So either move the cave back or re-introduce the REAL version of AV.

Keep doing av then noone is stopping you

I agree with you. They either need to go all in on the changes that happened toward the end of TBC and move the gate back, or give us the 1.5 AV so there is a reason for the horde cave to be so far forward.

Can’t confirm but… there was a Superbowl on, so… maybe half the PvP population logged off to watch the game?
