AV map layout why is this not a priority. This was addressed and fix back in the day

All they did was move the horde starting area back. Fixed the problem. The way the layout is now Alliance get choked. Makes no since that the horde can get to Balinda at the same time we do. Think if this was reversed and we could get to Galv at the same time they did. Now if the horde starting point got moved back we all could meet in the middle between Balinda and Galv. Look at the layout of Alliance gy’s and the road to Dun. They’re all choke points. All the horde have to do is split like they do at balinda choke us to SH gy and gg. Like i said easy way to fix this is to meet in the middle between balinda and galv. Their is way to much open area there to choke each other very easy. All i am asking is balance the map. The win % is evidence of the issue at hand.

It’s weird how the map design didn’t impact the early days of AV where Alliance could win even before they discovered the pally bubble zerg.

Ok let me ask you this Laintime do you think it is fair that horde can reach Balinda at the same time Alliance can?

That was when alliance was bringing in full premades with fast mounts and top end gear. Pretty much had to completely overpower the horde in every way to get wins.

classic isnt about being fair, its about being 1.12 which had many flaws

Even if it wasn’t a pre-made the horde just straight up didn’t defend when AV was released. I won some games without a single honor kill being seen on either side. Also, at the beginning, there were a lot of players who didn’t have the recall trinket so it was harder for horde to switch back on D to wipe the zerg.

It’s pretty obvious to see this, but Vanilla wasn’t designed to be fair and there’s obvious give and take. I can list out a lot of Horde advantages and a lot of Alliance advantages across the game.

List out some alliance advantages… I will wait.

And i am not quite sure why you quoted yourself in your last post…

The Horde cave was only moved back AFTER the win condition was completely redesigned and included the respawn ticket system. When killing Balidna/Galv removed 100 respawn resources from the enemy team. In THAT system yes, reaching Balinda first was a huge deal.

But not only would moving the Horde cave back without the respawn tickets be non-Vanilla, it would be a version that has literally never existed before…and saying it would help the Alliance at all is speculation at best.

I vote we bring all the NPCs back into AV this way we can have the AV that was running for about a year vs the one that they made to streamline/simplify/hasten because TBC was being launched

So Pollz you think the lay should stay the same with how unblanced it is and the the win% is unreal for horde vs alliance. As alliance we may win one AV a day if that. Something has to give. I’m sure as horde the Q timers suck but atleast you win a high % of the time.

Human Swords/Maces. Human Combat Sword Rogue is beefy.

Paladin Healers are pretty much top tier, especially for PvP.

Dwarf Fear Ward is considered one of the better racials, both in PvP and PvE.

I could give other smaller differences that you’d probably just scoff at, like how Hillsbrad Foothills is massively lopsided in favor of Alliance. The point was Blizzard wasn’t attempting to create a game that would be perceived as balanced back then. There was an obvious attempt at creating flavor between factions through various means.

I said nothing of the sort. I am pointing out a simple fact and nothing more.

No it will. Not speculation. And it did back in the day.

The alliance should still try… you guys play defeated right away, you know the horde doesn’t really defend more than a handful of dudes, if you guys played rogue/druid strike team you would actually burn towers.

Orc axes

Not dwarf racial. It is dwarf priest only and is really hard to use in pvp. Also 60% of all horde have wotf or are warriors that can break fear

The only advantage I will give you is the paladin one.

I would vote -yes- to moving our spawn to the retail spawn, I do think it is weird that we spawn close to mid /shrug

What I want to know is why retail got a more authentic AV than we did.

No, it did not help this version of the map. It helped the version of the map with respawn tickets.

On this version of the map, instead of the first fight happening close to SHGY (an alliance favored fight) the first fight will happen close to IBGY (a Horde favored fight).

I also enjoyed “Korraks revenge” In bfa
its vanilla av but with horde spawning all the way back. its great
