Horde: “Just organize and you can start winning for a change.”
Alliance: (Organizes)
Horde: “Not like that.”
What we really meant is that we wanted you to feel like you’d win, but still lose!
Z48zRMW6 is the link happy trolling horde!
The copium is strong with you.
They should probably have a Horde vendor selling tissues in AV.
Hey look a map denier who knows nothing about the map what a shocker…
lets take a look at all the changes made to AV in classic, shall we…
The exit portals for Arathi Basin and Alterac Valley have been disabled.
Players in Alterac Valley with the Honorless Target buff will no longer grant loot.
Alterac Valley Spirit Guides in the starting caves now apply Honorless Target to the players they resurrect.
very slight Alliance advantage. Neutral anti-griefing changes that would affect both sides equally, except the map advantage means horde are more likely to be able to grief alliance than alliance are to grief horde.
Terrain exploits
You can no longer climb the waterfall and enter the Frostwolf base near the Relief Hut.
Slight Benefit Horde, alliance can no longer sneak into base and horde lose nothing from it.
You can no longer climb the cliff and enter Dun Baldar near the Aid Station.
Slight Benefit Horde, seems counter intuitive but here me out, it makes the Bridge a slightly better turtle point however if you are relying on a turtle at the Bridge you are already lost when the Horde summon Ice Lord to crush you and Bridge offers no advantage once you have pushed back to starting positions so no help in winning just delays a loss. HOWEVER it also cannot be used by alliance to collect rams faster so Alliance Rams now take much longer to collect.
You can no longer bypass Icewing Bunker.
Benefits Horde, If Alliance are holding the IWB they are not on the flag and will lose SHGY, However if Horde are controlling SHGY just makes the Horde Choke at IWB that much stronger.
Reputation inconsistencies between Alliance and Horde
Alliance now always receive Reputation and Honor for defeating Captain Galvangar, regardless of whether Captain Balinda Stonehearth is alive.
Slight Alliance Advantage, Alliance now have a small rep incentive to kill Galv if they have pushed that far south since Horde almost always get Bel first due to map.
Alliance Druids can no longer have their actions disrupted by talking to them.
Major Alliance disadvantage, Destroyed best Alliance rep farming capability since map gives horde free wins, also prevents druids from being released till you can properly protect them since they summon in the middle of the FoS right next to a horde GY instead of up a ramp in a corner of the FoS on the Horde side well out of LoS of the Alliance GY.
Exploits for defeating the enemy general.
The Horde War Masters can no longer be kited far enough to allow General Drek’thar to be engaged and defeated alone.
The Alliance Prospector can no longer be tricked into pulling General Vandar Stormpike out of the bunker so that he can be defeated alone.
Major Horde advantage, if in a base race situation both sides lost the insta pull which was stonger for alliance because horde get 1 free bunker and alliance get no free towers and the pull is easier on alliance. HOWEVER if the map is being played to win by both sides then Alliance lost there best tool to cheese out a rush win strat making a standard Horde strat that pushes to victory all the more innevitable.
Alterac Valley will now allow parties of up to 5 players to queue together. When a party queues together, they will be placed into the same battleground.
There will no longer be a number in the name of the battleground in the “Enter Battle” screen.
MASSIVE Horde Advantage, Due to population disparity, horde party size went from 1 up to 5 allowing horde small groups to coordinate in AV. Alliance party size shrank from easily 20+ down to 5.
We’re fixing a setting that allowed the battleground to start with as few as 20 players on a team.
Alliance Favored, removed a bug which was introduced into classic that was screwing alliance by allowing the game to start when not enough people were in the game.
So the only changes that helped the alliance were a bug fix that was new and only affecting the alliance(so not really a change), adding a tiny bit of rep to killing Galv if the Horde have already killed Bel which doesn’t really affect anything, and some mostly neutral anti griefing tools that did help the alliance slightly more but only because the map favors horde.
See the problem with arguing with people who can analyze the map is that we can bring receipts, where as all you can do is make unsubstantiated claims that anyone with actual knowledge of the map would know are false.
Who wants to bet that he ignores 90% of the post to only talk about how dumb I am for claiming the bridge does nothing to help alliance win and maybe one other point?
He is one of the known AV trolls.
He will misunderstand 95% of your post.
Oh I know, I was in that 8k+ monstrosity of a thread with them, made a lot of solid arguments that all seemed to just get ignored since they were impossible to contest and that would prove they were wrong/trolling.
Mad bro? Av ally own.
What changed is that those who want to actually pvp have gone horde, and due to that the queue times have reversed and now alliance have short ones and do not want long games.
The map was blamed for horde losses back then, and now is blamed for alliance losses.
It is not the map, it is the attitudes and willingness to play the bg as intended.
In before the nonsensical “wHaT wIzZaRd aLlOwS HoRdE tO losE iN aB wSg?!?” defense
IIRC, you were simply known for pouting, calling posters liars, and then slinking away.
Also zyrius:
“tEh sCoRcHeD eArF!”
You do realize most horde in here arguing dont care about premades, right?
Holy crap, calling the DB backdoor fix a benefit to horde is some Lucy in the Sky level of bias bloat. Your entire post is full of a strain to bias. Did you type that all up with a straight face?
Here is my alt
I saw u near a tree(near fwgy) and even whispered u
Holy crap, he ignored your whisper AND was near a tree?
Hard hitting evidence right there. Next time get a screen shot of him standing still near a tree.
Yeaaaa
Rude asf
Those L55 Night Elves take their trees seriously, and don’t let just anyone be near them.
Horde dominated av so much that they started queuing at low lvls or with very undergeared characters for the free win/rewards.
Alliance had to deal with massive defeats for months, we got our gear somewhere else, and came back as an organized team.
As for the map imbalances they are a fact. So much that in tbc blizzard did change the horde starting point to be all the way in the south. It’s been covered, recorded, streamed and mentioned countless times. It doesn’t matter so much when alliance is organized, willing to follow a strat, reacting quickly and going to the different nods that we want to secure our win.
While we do enjoy the horde tears what we like the most is a horde team that challenges us, so, instead of complaining, step up your game. Get organized and also enjoy the fact that thanks to these, more alliance are willing to queue up to AV which in return reduces your long queues.
Another fresh forum alt heard from.
Very few horde actually care about the premades, much less producing tears.

Yep a strat enabled by horde map advantage which people have been telling you for months is only countered by a significantly better alliance team, like say a premade… And guess what turns out horde haven’t just been playing better than alliance they really have just been relying on their map advantage to zug zug to victory this entire time.
What’s extra funny is I predicted exactly this would happen if horde kept playing scorched earth. They drove so many alliance away from AV it’s now possible to premade it again.
Enjoy. LOL
