AV Changes Needed for New PVP System

High five. Im slowly ranking on my hunter, shaman and paladin, telling people if they want to see wsg again copy what i do

ā€œBack in the dayā€ I loved Vanilla AV. The thing to do as a half decent raid geared Warrior was to leave the raid, group with a couple healers and a ranged DPS and rack up the HKs and honor defending objectives. Think I got over 3k HKs in a long game one time or something close to that. Personally I had fun slaying Alliance for an hour straight on the bridge when we pushed them all the way back to their base, glorious. I just donā€™t think modern WoW players enjoy the game like we used to and thatā€™s a shame.

The guy talking about WSG farmer teams just wanting easy faceroll wins has a valid point, that is the WSG ā€œmetaā€ and has always been. If it was about good teams facing off to see who is better this is the complete wrong system and you should want rated games. But we all know that would lead to queue dodging because the best way to get to the top rank is to never face an equal caliber team.

Anyway. Itā€™s a new PVP system, undergeared players are trying to rank and many items from AV exalted rep are great for a fresh 60. Why would they spend 20 hours a week as a ghost in WSG when they can actually get some honor?

I was super worried about the AV system when it came to the next SoM release. But to be honest the changes to the honor and ranking process have alleviated some of that.

I couldnā€™t agree more that AV premades are damaging to the game and community, but at least in the new system you do not need to compete against others for bracket spots. That was my biggest concern, it sucks to work your butt off in WSG or AB all week only to get dumpstered by the random guy sitting in an AV premade discord for 16 hours a day

Yep, I get what you mean.

I was so done with AV yesterday but will probably keep going to exalted anyway, and even though Iā€™m not one to care about gear having at least something better than what is really obtainable on this server would make me feel better about queuing the other BGs on this toon so weā€™ll see (yeah Iā€™ve got the Whitemane guys too but this toon is not leaving this server so yeah).
