Pilots are nothing new unfortunately.
Regarding bots in PvP, unless they use the Same tech level as the arena bots its gonna be real obvious to who is botting or not.
Bots in PvP come in 3 flavors…
- God tier play.
- Obvious kick bot style rotation bots.
- Obvious AFK botters.
The second two are easy to spot and easy to ban. The first is real nasty, and hard to detect to the every player.
it’s the same thing every server bro. AV goes hard till all the good players are exalted and then youll never see them in there again till av weekend cause its bad honor

Pilots easier to hide in AV.
WSG and AB were dead for essentially the lifetime of SoM. Wasn’t just early/
uh what?
I got my rank on som from wsg. whjere are you getting your facts from?

I don’t think he realized how powerful premade AB / WSG actually is, and that if you’re not solo WSG / AB are king for gains per hr.

SoM had extra NPC’s that made the 6-min rush games in AV impossible. Adding the NPC’s from SoM (and possibly even going back to some of the NPC’s from the very early versions of AV, like elite archers in each base) would go a long way towards keeping AV interesting.

More similar to original AV pre-nerf.

Then why wouldn’t you support changes to encourage more WSG and AB instead of PUGs sitting in AV all day? If you like to premade and maximize honor per hour, you want those pugs in WSG/AB, not AV lol.
You say you are someone who ranked in premades but someone defending the current iteration of AV sounds more like someone who wants to afk rank in AV. . . Hmmm…
I’ve never played with Lazarak but base on his post history. I am willing to make a bet he is not one of those afk’rs in av kinda dude.
Not a cool way of going about ur opinion. =P
It might help this by adding level 63 elite guards. I’m almost 100% that the whole horde fort area use to be level 63 elites from the Quartermaster to the patrols on wolves. Unless that was only after turning in the reinforcements, armor scraps, etc.

I dunno man, seems like if you enjoy premades and organized PVP (like I do), you’d be in favor of encouraging players to do WSG and AB over AV, or at least make it a healthy balance, rather than defense the stupid Drek or Kek strat.
He isnt defending it and neither am I… and I dont even premade. lol
I might this time around. But, I very much enjoy AV dont care if its a 6min win/lost or hour+ games.
Lazarak is big into playing WSG and loves to go with his team against other premades. He’s pretty much confessed to being one of the people who stopped the AV horde premade Discord in SoM for a time anyway which got people to play WSG. You may not remembet the BG shift in SoM but it happened.
He’s also done this all many times. So he might be right. We will see.
I think putting the SoM AV in Era is a great idea to start. That should be easy and make it not as quick.

How was it different? I can’t recall.
This was surprisingly difficult to find info on. The most I found without searching more was here:
WoW Classic: Season of Mastery is Upon Us (blizzard.com)
" * Season of Mastery brings back many Horde and Alliance Guard NPCs removed from Alterac Valley in patch 1.11 of Original World of Warcraft."
From what I remember as #1 there were many more NPCs and from #2 we’d always send rogues to burn the north towers and we’d try to burn all the towers before proceeding, but of course, the gear wasn’t Naxx stuff either and was frequently as bad as leveling greens.
I don’t think the AV meta is fun either, of the 9 threads I’ve ever made one is asking people to queue for WSG and AB during SoM instead of AV, so I’ve got your back on this one.
So I’ll give you props for thinking about things in general to the point of bringing potential issues up, even though everything may be ok as is.
On a fresh server you wouldn’t be able to take Derek/Van with 2+ marsh up. Obvious answer is give fresh and let the p6’ers have their fun

It’s always cool to see the different objectives actually pop in AV. Seeing tree boss is still fun even though he dies pretty easily. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the infantry attack or ram riders though.
One of the times I really enjoyed AV was right before the tbc prepatch where I’d play an ally and the allies would premade to “turn the map blue” and do EVERY objective. From Treezus, to the rams riders, to all three gryphons.
Say what you want about this meaning I love to pug stomp but it was just fun to be surrounded by people who felt like they were getting revenge after a year of their alts being farmed by horde in the same way in the same battleground.

It was a pleasure to watch alliance win 80%+ of their games in Era on the last AV weekend.
