AV Cave Rez situation

Wear them down to what? They’ve been waiting an hour or two to join the BG, they have their snacks and drinks and are prepared to stay the night.

They’ll respawn over and over again, there’s no reinforcements. They’ll take everything south of Balinda and grab the LTs in front too. They’ll farm the crystals or whatever it takes to get the ice dude, then summon him and use him to take SHGY.

Time is on their side, it’s the horde wearing the alliance down and not the other way around. Once the game is over all those alliance will have another one in minutes, there’s very little incentive to sit and “wear down the horde”.

Silly…

No, HPH is why rankers don’t que for it.

Alliance can win with horde defending (also called scorched earth but the sheep) but the time frame it takes to do so is the issue.

Honor per hour.

If you can win 6+ AB/WSG in the time you can win 1 AV which gives more honor per hour? It’s not AV. That’s why rankers avoid it unless it’s AV weekend.

Because on AV weekend the bonus HPH makes it finally more effective than the other options.

And that’s not the only reason, you can premade the other BGs and not AV, so it’s a lot harder to prevent trash teammates that are just there to leech in AV than the other BGs.

I’ve stated how often I find leechers, afk, or people purely focused on rep in AV. Those are the teammates keeping rankers out of AV, because those players are garbage and hold their team back.

The map is not the reason rankers don’t do AV. The inability to prevent garbage teammates is, because with those garbage teammates it’s not an effective HPH. And until AV weekend where there is a huge bonus to the honor in AV it’s not worth putting up with the garbage teammates that rankers try to avoid. They aren’t avoiding AV, they are avoiding the garbage that is a good portion of alliance players in AV.

I still have yet to hear a single valid argument that shows the map is even slightly balanced…

And that problem is why rankers avoid it and why people play for rep. There are very few AFKers in any given AV and there are horde afkers as well.

Playing for rep is not the same as being afk and is not the reason we lose, in fact it ia the people who play to win who often are the problem and cause the game to end quickly and in a loss where we get no rep and no honor.

You really should learn the map a bit better before you go making up lies that are easy to disprove.

Also not a single map denier has been able to show how to beat an IBGY def, or how to stop the horde from taking SH if the Alliance send a team to go take anything and leave SH with a disadvantage because they dont have to leave anyone on defense at IBGY or SFGY(which they get for free basically)

Just…wow.

We’re basically at the point where it’s impossible to defend leaving AV as it is other than to claim that it’ll get fixed in BC…

AV is basically as badly imbalanced as Phase 2 was on PVP servers. Blizzard took action to fix that. Why not fix these respawn issues (and opening gate timer) here?

I appreciate that you, as a horde player, are advocating for map balance and I agree the cave spawn is an advantage as long as the cave is located where it is.

Moving the cave back fixes a lot of the problems, but the biggest and best change is no early arrival of horde to SHGY. Horde softcap SHGY early and shut alliance offense down before it even starts. It’s why alliance have to take and hold a gy while horde only have to take one. It’s why horde get a free cap on SFGY.

If alliance didn’t have to play every game trying to get reinforcements past the horde choke at IWB, we’d stand a much better chance at actually having an offense.

As far as moving the cave and the cave spawn problem moving to FWGY, I’d argue it’s the same argument alliance are using. If horde are defending FWGY with that many players, they’ve already lost the game.

We’re basically at the same point all of these threads have been in. Alliance are simply not trying, not motivated, defeatist, refuse to adopt strategy, dismissing 15 years of a win % on vanilla and private servers, and filled with childish insults. Even toward alliance L60s. Your personal thread is no more enlightening than any other.

Not a single one of you answered my question about downloading the ptr and testing AV when they were making tweaks.

Not a single one of you created a thread about the alleged respawns at AS when alliance die at SF.

Keep pretending that he mains horde.

the biggest problem with the alliance is they stay mounted and try to run passed the Horde at the start of the game, and the Horde just kills them all.

Instead, Alliance needs to dismount and fight when engaged

I checked the logs, looks like he’s pretty invested in his Horde character. I certainly wouldn’t get at least R12 in PVP for a character that wasn’t my main.

Agreed, I’m stopped queuing. AV is dead to me until there’s a fix. No one in my guild queue’s for AV any more. We’re not HPH players, we just used to enjoy the BG. The map combined with the meta have made miserable to play in.

After losing for months is it still called being a defeatist when you accept you’re probably going to lose if/when you queue? I’d prefer the term realist.

Alliance has tried many strategies, I sincerely doubt that there’s some magical strategy at this point that would salvage AV other than hope you massively outplay the opponent.

I personally find the tribalism you exhibit to be a bit childish. You believe that anyone that disagrees with you is either biased Alliance, Horde that secretly main Alliance or part of the Alt Cabal that follows you around.

Everyone knows it happens, it’s a proximity thing. Despite there being a mountain in the way, Aid Station GY is the closest to SF when you die. It’s simple code that simply screws us, I doubt they’re going to change the mechanics of that.

It’s the same reason that when SPGY falls the Alliance goes to the Cave instead of the Aid station. That’s also the reason why when people say “bUt tHe bRiDgE” I don’t take them seriously. When SPGY falls, the Horde are already across the bridge. We’d have to concede SPGY completely after losing SHGY.

Sorry, but are you saying that the aid station is closer to SF than SH? Think about your answer before you post it, as alliance posters have claimed that it happens even if alliance control SHGY

Yes. I am. Check the X, Y.

I love diversity in my life, but I also don’t consider it very meaningful diversity when it is the intellectual equivalent of a yapping dog that I can neither shut up nor get far enough away from to not hear it any longer. A lot of ugly weeds are certainly diverse within my garden… but eh, I’m probably plant-ist or something.

I have colleagues to sling proper barbs back and forth, I don’t need whatever crazy Redhead and Misadventure are selling.

This is part of why blizzard doesn’t take these cry threads seriously.

The people complaining about the map do the same things premades did in AV. Mass report for false reasons to try and get their way.

Premades were broken because of how premades were behaving in AV. Not because of some magical conspiracy against the alliance.

Just keep proving us right by acting like 3 year olds…

It’s based on the location of the spirit healers. I thoroughly enjoy you being so condescending when you’re so factually wrong. You’ve brightened my day, thank you.

The SH spirit healer at the aid station is not even remotely closer to SF than the SH spirit healer. Try again.

You’re not putting a lot of thought behind this. Look at the map, do the math and consider the scenarios where people would die. Your arguments are lazy.

That entirely depends on where you are at SF, there are weird breaking point where you 100% can and will go to AS instead of SH if you die at SF.
