AV Cave Rez situation

Almost every person that has joined in this discussion has agreed it should be changed, you are maybe 1 of 4 or 5 people that think otherwise.

You are of course entitled to your own opinion, even when that opinion is wrong :joy:

Your complaining about the horde cave strength because you view it as overpowered are you not?

Iā€™m showing you alliance have a STRONGER cave advantage. And the whole it depends where you die argument is a joke at best, if you die at aid station side of the bridge you rez at aid station gy, if you die on the other side of the bridge (or about halfway across) you rez at the cave. Its not as hard as you make it out to be to chose where you will rez based on where you chose to fight the horde at.

I keep bringing up the alliance cave because you are trying to make the horde cave out as ā€œop plz nerf, horde favoritism!ā€ While ignoring that alliance cave is actually better at doing what the horde cave is being complained about.

Iā€™m not against the caves being last rez spots, but not because of either cave being overpowered, because they arenā€™t. But because Iā€™m tired of the excuses from the map criers and I recognize that the actual issue of the caves is they are unfun to play against, not because of a map imbalance. Itā€™s not imbalanced because both sides have access to the same power spike when their cave comes into play, itā€™s not the maps fault horde are using theirs regularly and alliance are not (when it isnā€™t a race game).

You keep complaining about the horde cave. Are you complaining because you think its over powered horde favoritism map advantages, or because you find it unfun and recognize that alliance have their own cave thatā€™s also powerful, but unfun to play vs when actually used properly?

All of what you said is true, but there are a ton more problems with the alliance position.

  1. Towersā€¦towers are a nightmare for any kind of ranged class vs bunkers. Trying to take and defend a towerā€¦lol. 1 arms warrior with a healer can probably kill 6 defenders because of the cramped space.

  2. The bottleneck at IWB. This is probably the single biggest problem on this map. Once alliance have to respawn, and almost always without a forward GY due to the issues you cited, you run into Horde at IWB, and you are forced into a turtle. The way the map is built, Horde just run in a straight line to all objectives. Not only do they get to those objectives first, but they are much easier to hold because of natural bottlenecks on the map. They could largely fix this map by putting another route on the other side of IWB.

  3. The 2 previous points, and the points you made, mean that Alliance always ends up split up. This happens just about every game. You get about half the team forward, and the other half wandering around base/bridge trying to figure out what to do. Needless to say, when Horde back cap, there are just fewer people there to deal with.

The ā€œbestā€ chance you have as alliance, is to try and wipe people at SHB where you have the help of the commander, but you can never get people to do it.

The map in general, tends to spread Alliance out, and keep horde in a death ball, and thatā€™s the crux of the problem.

Again the map is 100% fine. Making that change for nothing other than peoples peace of mind wrecks its already totally 100% fine nature.

Making caves an absolute last spawn alters how the map is played. GYs are already pretty darn important in the current layout. Now youā€™re making them objectives so we can all play the ā€˜let them have this gy so we dont have to pvpā€™ crap weā€™ve already seen a hundred times over right on through the current day.

Just leave it alone now.

no alliance player will argue to keep the cave spawn, it is trash depsite your constant wall of texts trying to prove otherwise.

You can play out dozens of fake scenarios to try and prove your point but by this time everyone has read all the garbage spewed from your mouth over the course of this thread and you have zero credibility.

Make the cave the very last spawn on both sides, it will have zero impact on alliance, but it will have a good impact on horde.

So your claiming the alliance cave is weaker than the hordes? Going so far as to say itā€™s trash. When it does everything the horde cave does for ibgy but to spgy/the bridge, but better.

Okā€¦

ok there is an 8K+ post about the horde cave.

You are the only person saying anything about the alliance cave.

Do you get it now?

How often do you hear anyone say they just couldnā€™t overcome the alliance cave, nobody says it except you.

Have a good night my delusional little friend.

Part of that 8k+ posts thread is about the alliance cave being compared to the horde cave and pointing out that if alliance actually used their cave when it comes into play it would be stronger than the hordes, but the reason alliance donā€™t is because of the min max nature of que times vs game duration making fast losses more effective than 2+ hour wins. Which results in them not using it and claiming its trash, just like they do with the bridge.

Itā€™s why when horde que times went back under 30 minutes we saw the race meta come back. Min max meta for que times vs game duration for max honor gains per hour instead of per game.

But hay, you see the alliance cave as trash when 30>20, so I guess your not bais at all right?..

I just came back from a year-long break. While I havenā€™t spent any time with BGā€™s, yet, I might. Does this mean that AV is still a mess for the Alliance? :man_facepalming:

Alliance are winning much more now because they are actually trying instead of playing rep farm simulator.

Just sum it up for him. Both factions play AV like idiots except for the time when the horde went undefeated for 6 months so you shouldnā€™t be talking about map changes based on the motivations and actions of idiots. The horde cave was a problem for the alliance because the alliance in those games sucked and had no idea what they were doing.

AV will be fixed when both factions have an hour + queue for AV.

I agree, and tbc classic may be the best thing to happen for classic vanilla AV, because vanilla classic will have a lot less of the sheep in it and more of the hard-core vanilla fans percentage wise. Though qur times will definitely go up for both sides.

Classic can only improve once TBC comes along.

God I hope so. To watch the Horde flopping over like a wet noodle for quick losses and minimal honor is both embarrassing and pathetic.

No. Last I heard alliance win at least 80 percent of the time in av. The game turned back into a base race meta.

Itā€™s not even a race. Horde tag everything at mid that will grant them any honor. (Ltā€™s, Bal)
Everyone will dismount. By the time theyā€™ve cleared mid and head North they get stalled by a much smaller Alliance defense force at SPG. By the time thatā€™s cleared they cross the bridge and will proceed to pull every NPC in Dun Buldar, Oh they will grab bunkers, but are often quick to ghost the objective they just took in their efforts to hurry to the end. And summarily these objectives are often retaken by the Alliance.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
Kind of counter productive to the ā€˜lolz i quick honorā€™ mentality.

Iā€™ve tried to explain this before as to why horde lose the race more often than not and you nailed it. Horde want honor. Alliance want a fast win. Horde stop midfield, alliance typically skip it.

Itā€™s a total borefest and I hope it doesnā€™t carry over to TBC.

The horde cave isnā€™t the reason why alliance lose and its changing anyway in TBC.

This threadā€™s true purpose has been an alliance salt farm with a clever title to keep the salt flowing.

ROFL (ten words)

there you go with the bias again, dude learn some new comebacks please.

NOBODY is talking about the alliance cave except you.

I am sure if half this thread was about it you could find a dozen quotes right?
