And a level 60 stealthier with T2.5 + full world buff + full consumable in a premade of 5 would be better. Never ending. AV is 51-60. Itâs inappropriate to call 51-59 leechers. Less effective probably but thatâs it. Itâs part of the bg. If people donât like it, just play wsg/ab.
If a lvl 51 stealthers caps a horde tower (or alliance) and pulls 5+ players from the other team to take it back and makes them keep coming back, the lvl 51 stealthers did more than a level 60 killing 5 enemy player did.
So if theyâre one of the two classes that can stealth they might be able to do something. Which oh yeah theyâre going to be much less effective at than a 60 since stealth detection is partly level based.
There is lowbies both side so whatâs the point really. Itâs still a bg 51-60. Even a warrior level 51 can farm wolf/ram and get an entire army to push through the opposite faction.
Healer classes can heal, hunters can frost trap and Mana drain, warlocks can fear/curse/drain mana spam, mages can blizzard spam, exc. Usually using rank one spells to make it âlookâ like a threat.
Every class can do something useful when under-leveled.
Stealthers can have the biggest impact when under-leveled, but that doesnât mean other classes canât do something useful.
We are trained to get out of fire after 15+ years of this game.
If a mage uses rank 1 blizzard people try to get out of it. Very few people will look and see the 11 damage/resists constantly hitting them, instead seeing the visual of the spell and thinking âI need to move out of thisâ.
War isnât just about damage, misinformation is a useful tool. Itâs why I have a /kneel macro on my hunter and I cancel the kneel animation when I actually put a trap down by jumping (and I jump a decent amount as well in PvP). It keeps people guessing when and if I put a trap down. Mind games can win or lose a fight. Low levels can use this to their advantage if they so chose. A rank one blizzard from a lvl 51 mage will still get people to run out of it or around it.
So I donât view lvl 51-59 as leachers. Yes they could do more if they were max level and geared, but they can still contribute towards a win.
I could picture fighting u on my mage, you out here fake kneeling over and over and I walk up and 2 shot you and while Iâm running away I wonder what that bot was doing?
If one character can do the identical task as another, the level of the one doing the task is moot. A tower is just as stealth capped regardless. We are not talking about pvp, we are talking about sneaking in and clicking a flag.
But they canât do an equivalent task because the lower level character is less capable of doing so. Pro tip stealthers donât just teleport to flags, they have to get there undetected. A lower level is both easier to detect by a lot if theyâre a 51 and easier to kill once again by a lot.
I was literally stealth capping enemy towers from L51 onward. If you cannot manage to do the same, you are not playing the class (rogue/druid) very well.
No itâs makes sense why you think that trying to stealth cap towers is such an awesome idea. Despite it being not partricularly useful most of them time, you fell like you were âcontributingâ
In a BG based upon completing objectives, an objective being completed is most certainly âcontributingâ.
When is capping a tower ânot usefulâ?
edit: I suspect you view capping mines and handing in supplies to upgrade the NPCs, and turning in hides and taming mounts for cavalries are also not âcontributionsâ.
Capping a tower your team never reaches, potentially because you were stealth capping towers instead of being helpful, is yes not useful to over all winning.
Especially when you factor in the time it takes to actually stealth to the tower, then having to actually hold it until it caps. Now if your argument is that as a level 51 thatâs all you can do since youâll be splatted if you try to do something actually useful fine. But then you are still just pretending to contribute and would be far more useful leveling to 60 then queuing up.
You might just be confusing this with post reinforcement AV where capping towers is much more meaningful.
Pulling the opponent off of the front lines, removing them from the fight, is helpful. You are such a big proponent of the cave res numbers, yet you are going to have the gall to discount the value of pulling enemies away from the main fight?
No wonder you fail at AV.
You do not have to hold it until it caps/burns to draw the enemy players back to it.
You can also group up with other lowbies to do the other quests, to get the buffing standard, to capture mines and turn in those supplies, to tame mounts and obtain hides for cavalry. I think your main issue is complete ignorance as to how the BG is designed to be played.
âPretending to contributeâ.
Dude, stick to a less complicated option of either AB or WSG. They would suit your single-minded approach to PVP more than AV.
