Yeah, not throwing shade at pool parties. Mainly just saying the people in those BGs tend to be much more rank focused than AV. Even on Horde side based on the average rank you mentioned in your earlier posts.
Donât be dishonest, ally rankers didnât leave because they couldnât win AV anymore, they left cause they could not premade AV anymore and they didnât want long games. Premading wsg/ab was just better honor per hour.
Horde didnât have instant queues so they just kept queuing AV in their rotation. Ally side was left destitute by rankers who left so horde started to win to the point of the present meta.
Like I said, ranks today canât be used to explain a situation that happens almost one year ago.
Right, thatâs exactly what they did. But it had nothing to do with not being able to win AV. It had everything to do with not being able to win AV in under 10 minutes when WSG was available for roflstomps.
Idk about horde but on alliance brackets were set pretty reasnoably.
You didnt need to no life 7 days a week to rank.
They set it so most players had 2 days off from ranking even those going for r14.
Thats my point, there was no need to do AV, because you couldnt premade it anymore.
Way back when the premades were killed, the pool parties hadnât caught on as much. Those came later. It literally was the short queue + long game thing for Alliance rankers at the time. I have said this before, but will repeat. I went from having 45-1 hour queues before premades died to having 1-1:20 after they died. That was the very next day after the changes went live. It corresponds directly with the rankers not queuing for AV anymore. And it was well before there was a 99% win rate for Horde in AV.
Like i said, i think a big part of it was the fact they couldnt premade together.
Not because AV was auto loss.
The pvp community was very close.
I mean yeah. But thatâs still a boatload of the best players from one faction simply gone. One day they are there. The next day they arenât.
.
It doesnât have any bearing on today though. I think AV is pretty much an honor afterthought for both factions now.
I just want to try for r13 as a dad gamer and nows best chance.
So i will always weave in AV as horde, its a gurantee win lol.
You will get one AV every 3 hours weaving
Yup while i quest haha.
Im in tanaris now finsihing out ogres and dew glands, and the insects.
But AV is only pug vs pug.
Game 5 just launched!
I mean, there are some Alliance premades weaving in there now due to small number of games.
.
And you are ignoring the rest of the conversation that preceded this because this WSG / AB point is one of your crutch statements. Again, neither side has a long enough queue to affect the tendency to /afk in those BGs. And you canât really leech in either of those effectively.
And that conversation also ignores that AV has very obvious loss conditions that can show up early on for alliance like losing SHGY without a southern GY.
That isnât the case in AB or WSG.
Game 5 is odd.
Alliance gave up shgy and went all in for SFGY.
Average rank for alliance is 6, average rank for horde is 5.
Horde have once again 7 lower levels including me.
That conversation didnât ignore this. Thatâs part of what makes people /afk quickly in AV on Alliance side. Fast queue + early understanding of win condition / long game = /afk on the fast queue side. Thatâs how it has always been on whichever faction has the quick queue.
But a longer queue wouldnât change that. Horde with a 2 hour queue would give up just as fast if they started north.
This seems like a losing strategy lol.
This is incorrect. Horde would wait it out since we arenât getting back in for another 2 hours anyway. There is no incentive to bail early.
I think hes saying you wouldnt win, so yeah you might not afk, but its a loss.
