Is it cheating to make a keyboard macro that inputs a cast key say penance then does stopcasting 0.001 second after so if getting auto sheared in a game i can abuse the cheating for precognition

Now the pummel macro shouda been baked into its mechanics. You should be able to only use the ability whenever they are currently casting. All classes should have that mechanic.

You gotta admit that info like this is more about hearing about it from the right person than actively looking for it online. Theres no reason for this to be in game and theres no justification for it.
Pretty sure its listed as a requirement to play when you buy it lol

no, im wondering how much this would upset the ladder, one has to consider that a player who can manually play at the same level as macro players is substantially higher in actual skill, thus a macro player being of the same rating is not valid.

I’m surprised guys how your opinions differ. This is an egregious case that urgently needs to be corrected, a whole day has passed (still not fixed, i lost 200 MMR from 2500 to 2300 in 3v3 and now i cant get my glad wins), today I met r1 players who began to play with this. We all must draw conclusions if action is not taken against violators.
This is an exploit of game mechanics, don’t try to justify it.
Just because it’s available in the Blizzard API doesn’t mean it can be abused.
Even on a pirate server, actions are applied much faster. There is no feedback, no conversation with the community, I’m furious, no response, total ignore, and then they quietly fix it and cover it up as if nothing happened.
Literally now what is happening is that cheaters are playing in the arena, which is tantamount to speedhack and flyhack, this is unthinkable.
I demand answers, I demand a detailed answer, I want to know that everyone will be punished.

There is more to skill than apm. If you have the mechanical control to excel with the mouse only, I don’t think you’re necessarily a better player than someone who uses mouse and keyboard, or someone who uses 500 different macros to lessen the mechanical burden on themselves
How is a mouse/keyboard and a couple addons not obtainable again?
In my experience, the only way to get something fixed promptly is to make it common knowledge.

The addons are not even a part of the game shipped, and for the mouse why should i have to buy a 12 button mouse for 1 game when i play tons of others that don’t require it? Seriously why would I spend that amount of money that has 0 use for me outside of 1 game? Im just saying from my perspective and have heard it from others in many other conversations.
But you don’t. Plenty of people play without them and do fine

There have been multiple times where after posting a bug or exploit it got fixed within a week after it going viral after spending months of trying to report it privately, because companies like Blizzard often don’t react to single player feedback but they sure af will react when several popular streamers and their viewers are exploiting it.
Like this one, for example. I spent months privately sending them feedback on this with detailed explanations and videos and it never got fixed. The only reason it didn’t go live is because of this video which caused the issue to go viral when several popular streamers figured it out and made it public to their viewers to trivialize pvp and pve.
Going with this “mystery” technique generated a lot of discussion on the mage discord and eventually led to the exact method getting nerfed very quickly once it was noticed.
So, again. Privately sending this to Blizzard via detailed bug reports over a period of months had zero effect. Getting it to go viral with streamers got it fixed in under a week.

I think people have this sense that they have to keybind every spell when that’s not really the case. Abilities that have longer cooldowns that aren’t emergencies you can click those on your bars
