Automation + Auto Kick + Auto Grounding + AI vs Rated PvP

I don’t think a mmo mouse is on par with third party programs and cheese macros lul fried as

Im just saying but absolutely proves my point with your comment. People act like wow pvp is so competitive yet its only for those that have all this stuff that a regular person would have no clue about. Then to even find out about it you spend hours and hours. Funny how mobas dont need this but wow players think they do ?? Even some of the high end players like pika wish rated had addons removed /shrug … talk about cope with that response lul

so how effective are you without that ?

Ummm what lmao

Wym it’s a minigame in a mog collecting simulator

Mes weakauras pack bigdebuffs unlocked gladius omnibar boom

thoughts? just curious cuz im not going out to spend that much money on a mouse. I shouldnt have to to be competitive. Im just asking if that detected hardare wasnt allowed to function within the game, how much would it affect play?

Not really that much xD

It would be interesting to see someone so used to using one on a stream live remove the mice functionality of it and see how they adapt to playing without it out of curiousity. Then again i understand with current wow the sheer amount of abilities in the game to be used almost requires it to exist to even play for most.

No it wouldn’t, lmao.

I don’t understand your point are you trying to say third party programs and cheese macros are required to play the mmo same as a mmo mouse ?

Thx Kennie and proves my point.

About what? :dracthyr_shrug: Disable addons, macros, keybinds and keyboards tomorrow and the people in favor of said adjustments likely wouldn’t even notice.

i mean realitistcally, if they forced everyone to put the raw spell on their bars and play manually instead of using macros, i don’t think it would be that bad.

This macro functionality probably needs to be disabled in pvp for the same reason that totem stomping pet macros needed to go away.

At the same time, I feel like a distinction needs to be made between probably too powerful macro use vs outright Botting. At most, a bot is scripting the movement and cast sequence of everything that happens. It’s actually super ineffective for wow to spam run an automated character like it was for d3 rifts and stuff.

There is a middle ground between grey area macro usage and full on Botting, and that’s the use of the third party software that takes these conditionals a step further. Not only do you get the script kiddie menu for free, the bot is also probably polling the entire log and switching targets and trying to execute these off global events all the time for you. It is a very small difference between an aware player using a macro that is probably too powerful and a player using cheating software that knows about the same hidden functionality that makes the macro work.

Agreed.

Some elements should never be added to the game as a function or mechanic which can cause them to be abused. This happens when there is so much that the game becomes bloated.

Hmm, I don’t know.

Third party hardware such as keyboards seem like an unfair advantage to those who cannot afford them.

i think if people didn’t have addons it would be very noticeable in their game play.

I have seen many “Auto Logic” macro players out there of later do some crazy stuff.

This is a good example but there are more out there and a friend of mine was bit lost on how some players were pulling off these types of feats. So I showed him some.

There so many versions of this I really have no idea on how to speak on it.

Examples range from an auto defense macro to other things but an example for the auto defense is that either snares or stuns one immediately despite the opposing player never seeing the oncoming attacker and be in the middle of an involved fight.

When I state immediately its as soon as the opposing player activates an ability towards them. We are speaking about 10ths of a second.

Other streamers have shown some examples during their stream but its kind of crazy out there.

Ya man such a distinct advantage people have for using the exact same resources everyone has available lol.

Not in WoW but there was an mmo I played where you could macro in an entire class’s rotation into one button. WoW has some restrictions on what players can achieve with macros but something like this I’m beyond disbelief that it took this long to come out to the public
