About 10 years ago I proposed that blizzard kill off all macro excluding macro that simply map multiple abilities to a single location such as modifier key press, and fully eliminate any macro or addon that can aid in targeting in any way.
I was silent about the reasons to avoid opening a can of worms, but since the rabbit hole is now open, May as well limit macro to simple single mapping and even neuter the API so that targeting cannot be aided by any macro, addon or anything excluding Arena 1,2,3, Tab, or Focus. Anything outside of that needs to be eliminated fully.
IMO, addons are in need of being neutered, but the base UI needs something like Tidy plates built in. Everything else is providing too much that can and does 100% get manipulated in a very negative way for the community.
I will elaborate no further, I hope blizz truly does take this seriously and even considers actions agains addons that provide automation in any format at all, even those that merely tell a player to do stuff.
In Venruki’s video, he said the clear functions for focus and arena1/2/3 are protected. Only the function for clearing your target was left unprotected.

Oh it isn’t? So we allowed to make that 1 button macro on our mouse or keyboard to pretty much auto cast lava procs. Felt pretty broken when i tested it
This macro will make smart decisions for you by making sure it always prioritizes your instant LB procs Then earth shock.
From what I saw in the vid, all you have to do is put out flame shocks and spam that macro for all the instant procs. You never waste a proc with it because of overlapping procs
If Blizz works anything like the MMO I worked as Community Manager for, it’s literally their job to read forums and such. But they’ll rarely post since their words can easily carry too much weight and they cannot make an official promise without permission from the team.
