So Blizzard can’t fix the servers. Blah blah blah. I call BS but let’s look at an alternative.
This is probably going to cause Armageddon but Old School Runescape implemented a log out timer years ago that after 6 hours, regardless of activity, the game will automatically log you out.
What are your opinions on Blizzard implementing something similar to WoW Classic? This would knock bots out of the game, knock players out of the game who are 99% AFK keeping their account active with a couple of keystrokes using remote access tools, and effectively cause the queues to move MUCH faster with the constant rotation of players getting knocked off.
I realize this would cause issues, specifically with raids, but it doesn’t have to be a 6 hour timer. Could be 8 hours. I don’t know. Just thinking out loud here. Trying to do Blizzard’s job for them.
Biggest issue is you are sold unlimited equal access with your sub.
Your change now directly makes that access not unlimited and as such not what was sold to you.
While yes they can make that chnage would would require giving refunds or waiting till all subs expire so 6 months notice. Not really a Change they can do for todays issue.
No, this is a player created issue where players are refusing to leave mega servers where Blizzard has repeatedly stated if you do not go off Bene/Grobb etc you will see alot of queues and have provided transfers off.
If you don’t like the queue then move off with a free transfer, otherwise suck it up.
It’s a player created problem and also because people just suck in general really. If everyone played fair and just logged out when they were done playing, it would create more room. Blizzards server capacity issues, mixed with selfish people, equals this. I understand if you are only gonna go AFK for a half hour or something, different. But if you’re gonna be gone for hours and doing something to keep the game on for you, you are also the issue.
Though, playing fair is a thing of the past, so I get it.
