Automated account silencing

So automated silencing due to abusive battleground reporting and the automated system means I can’t group with my own 2nd account?

did you get reported or were you reporting someone?

It looked like in the staysafe video where he tested the automated system it auto declines all invites. So you basically cant play the game, and is truly 100% automated and has no human review

The system is fine, mostly. I don’t think it was designed with the concept in mind that dozens of toxic players would erroneously report people for no, or dumb, reasons.

Kudos to blizz for thinking people might act decently, but I fail to see how this is their fault, when it’s toxic players abusing the system.

Mental gymnastics to blame players instead of blizzard for having trash CS and unwilling to pay human GMs…

So you are saying that players, especially the toxic ones, have no blame?

Very little, 95% of the blame is on the garbage automated system

The system itself, in theory, is fine. In a perfect world, if a dozen people reported someone for toxic or abusive chat, chances are that person said some pretty egregious things and a chat silence is warranted.

The problem is this isn’t a perfect world, and that people are NOT reporting others for actual chat abuse, and instead erroneously using the system to be toxic to one another.

If people used the system as intended, in good faith, then this problem wouldn’t exist.

But alas, asking people over the internet to not be toxic is like pulling teeth…

An automated system CANNOT replace human review!

Blizzzzaaaarrrd! :t_rex:

Or blizzard could hire humans to review things

So it wasn’t designed for humans.

“Timmy called me a dumb dumb!”

“Billy rolled greed and won the item that i should have gotten!”

“Randy is too low ilevel to be in this bg!”

Nobody’s time should be wasted on that drivel. But you are welcome to volunteer.

More like it was designed expecting us to act like decent humans. But alas, this is the internet.

This is humans without accountability and with anonymity. It is a part of humanity and there is no escaping it unfortunately.

I agree.

Remember when they had GM’s review reports? I do, and that was back when there were at least twice as many players in the game. I’m sure those people that were laid off the same year Blizzard reported record breaking profits would love to have their jobs back.

Toxic players aren’t new to 2022. Claiming Blizzard believed the player base wouldn’t abuse an automated system is laughable. Of course they would - and Blizzard was well aware of this. They just didn’t care. Stop excusing an inexcusable system.

Stop excusing toxic behavior :man_shrugging:

Problem is Social Contract protects from Verbal toxic behavior, not being toxic through actions. Can’t tell someone to F off when they dump mobs on you to steal mining/herb nodes.

Where did I excuse toxic behavior? Nowhere. But if you think it’s fine to give the player base the authority to silence other players, then the players should also have the means to deal with toxic reporting. We don’t. The system is garbage.

Well I didn’t see you denounce or blame toxic players
