We now have a single button assist feature coming.
I dont know if any of you have played retail Aion but we seem to be sailing toward their auto play button.
Yes that game is dead but if Blizzard EVER decides to let you enable an auto afk button to this game you can activate i strongly believe that will be the death nail for this game.
I hope and pray that day never comes. But we know who owns Blizzard now. Never…say never.
there’s a difference between accessibility (button literally adds like 0.3s to your gcd) and auto play as seen in korean mmos. this + highlight assist are meant to either teach you if you’re new & learning the game or help you if you have disabilities that make it hard to play.
Ion said they don’t want to dumb down the game, but hmm. Adding one button rotation assistant sounds like it does exactly that. There should be heavier penalties for using it if its to remain in the game.
it’s accessibility, and if i recall it only ever uses your damaging moves, as a healer/tank you still have to figure out when to use your utilities/heals/taunts/etc… as an accessibility feature it’s fine, doesn’t need more penalty than 0.3gcd since people are already going to complain about users using it in any content past the baseline, but maybe if it lets them get a taste of M+2 and they have the capacity to do so it’ll make them strive to push further.
No, im not saying it is. We never know what the devs are thinking or the game director. Its a possibility at this point.
I never ever ever thought that they would introduce rotation assist and give a 1 button assist. That shocked me to my core. Now? Auto farming assist or play assist isnt off the table.
Completely ignores that this isn’t auto and has been able to be done since the beginning of the game. Starting to get concerned with the amount of people that make a big deal about things they’ve never used nor tested.
Nothing is off the table since this is now a feature from blizzard. I wont be surprised in the future if they implement something atrocious like a auto play button
