Authenticator

I have this account with classic authenticator on. Recently I opened second account for second copy of D2R. I cannot add authenticator on new account. It says phone is use on another account. Hardware authenticators are not longer produced. What do I do?

I have physical authenticator on primary account. When i do all steps like in article it asks me to enter the phone and I have message it’s in use on another account. If i login to authenticator with primary account is asks me to remove physical.

Account A - Authenticator and Phone Number in use
Account B - New account for second D2R

Remove the phone number from Account A and attach it to Account B.

Your authenticator will remain attached to Account A and you’ll be able to setup a mobile authenticator on Account B.

Note: If you remove the phone number from Account A, you will lose the 4 additional backpack slots in WOW that come with having both Phone and Authenticator setup.

After you set up the authenticator on Account B, you may want to remove the phone number from Account B and reattach it to Account A if you want to restore your extra backpack slots.

Will it be better just to remove physical and switch on software authenticator for both?

Or maybe to attach hardware on D2R account…

If you want to consolidate, yea that’s an option.

Just make sure you save/screen shot your Serial Number and Restore Code. If you change devices in the future (replacement/new phone), you’ll want to have that handy to reset your authenticator.

On another hand my hardware authenticator is 12-13 years old. It was shock for me it’s still works. I’ll switch to iPhone app.
