They literally do, is the problem.
Every time one compromised account gets banned, two more take its place. That’s literally how these RMT boosting ads work.
I set up the Authenticator and it only asked me once in the month I’ve had it. Just FYI it’s not like I thought, you don’t have to use it every time you log in like some annoying 2fas.
I would report them every time I saw them. I would see the same accounts for weeks doing it. Clearly they weren’t trying hard. Considering they didn’t even flag ‘WTS’ ads says enough. People had URLs in their titles. Same websites for years.
are you trying to list it in the ‘custom’ groupfinder, or the normal LFM dungeon segment?
Or they were just flooded with reports.
Imagine you’re working at Blizzard and your job is to deal exclusively with the right-click report system. How many reports do you think you and your team (assuming you have one) get daily? 50,000? 100,000? More? Remember you’re dealing with the entire system across all servers, and there are hundreds of them. Even if only 5% of the total playerbase (assuming a lowball of 2 million) were reporting using that system, that’s 100,000 new reports per day.
By all means, please tell us all how you intend to stay on top of that so that the moment one person reports something, action is taken immediately. How many reports do you think you could get through per day? Remember you can’t take shortcuts, you have to investigate each one, because you don’t want to falsely ban someone when they’ve done nothing wrong, so just slamming your finger on the ban button over and over isn’t an option.
There you go, bringing logic and common sense into the GD again. It’s getting to be a real drag, man. Can’t you just be hysterical like everyone else?

In order for the title to automatically fill, you have to have a key first. If you don’t have one, then your friend should start the group if they have one. If not, join one that’s already in progress. You’re only limited by your own shortcomings.
Carries are still being sold in LFG so this change essentially did nothing.

Yeah we keep hearing this but the evidence suggests that it has cut down on it by a huge margin.
The only people this effects are stupid people that don’t want to get it done and the wts spammers, which one are you ?
Also isn’t it weird that literally bots can get an authenticator working but the “average” user can’t…

I know when something bothers me I just set there and stare at it all day long.
I come to the forums to cry.
Then I can’t help myself but to go back and just stare at the LFG seller spam all day long.

Yes they do, but there are so many of them popping up we can’t report them fast enough and they can’t action them fast enough either.
This change makes it so they have to register an account to a new phone number and have an actual working phone EVERY TIME.
That makes it harder for them to just spam accounts.
Will it catch them all? No. Will it get a good majority of them and make them easier to spot and action? Yes.
This is actually a GOOD change, and one that benefits you by better securing your account.

It significantly reduced the number of advertisements. At time of posting I reported 4 advertisements. 2 in the dungeons listings, 1 in the raid listings and 1 in the arena listings.
That’s a damn side better than the dozen or so I saw before 9.1.5 dropped.
That’s what got me laughing. Honestly sort of reinforces the point, the WoW community has a high degree of ludditism.
Also to anyone thinking this is “optional”, I guarantee you that Authenticator and sms protect will become requirements to even play blizz games eventually. Only question is when.
