Authenticator Troubles

I have a multilayered problem regarding a dead cataclysm era authentication keyfob tied to my account. I’ve already hung my head in shame over my procrastination and irresponsibility, so we can skip that part of the solution (if there is indeed a solution).

The trouble is:

1 My authenticator, after many years of service died.
2 My account is tied to a now 19 year old Yahoo email account that I’ve long lost the login information for.
3 Over the course of those 19 years, I’ve picked up stakes and left the USA. I have not left NA servers. I don’t have a US phone number for the mobile authentication (if I even get that far)

The problem seems daunting, and I still have access to the game so long as my laptop lives. But I think this old account is still worth fighting for and I’d like to regain control if it if I can. I’ve tried to start my journey with the in-game ticket system but that just gave me a run around, I wasn’t even able to get a ticket submitted. It just tells me to deactivate the authenticator. Which I can not do without email address.

Is there anyway to get on top of this, or is this account doomed to die marooned on this sad old laptop?

You will have to get this sorted thru a ticket should be doable but its not gona be easy.

Even getting a ticket submitted isn’t easy. It keeps giving me suggestions (to remove the authenticator) that require information that I don’t have (email access).

You’ll have to follow the remove authenticator path until it asks for a certain option and then create a manual ticket about that:

Since you don’t have access to your email too, this is going to take much longer to fix as well.

Well that got a ticket submitted at least. Thank you for that!

It will be now, Blizzard came through! Thanks to your help. Once you get a ticket in their service was actually on point. Thanks again.
