Authenticator Questions?

I have 2 questions about Authenticators

1st- I was told I couldn’t use my cricket pre-paid phone number on one of my accounts even though it is being successfully used on 2 of my other accounts after I had transfered from AT&T Pre-paid. The number was always pre-paid and it attatched to 2 accounts fine for the mobile authenticator. Why can’t the 3rd account take it?

2nd- I used to use the Keychain Authenticators and I just looked at the Blizzard Gear Store and can’t seem to find them in that store are they selling them some where else? Am I just Blind?

Can someone please Help Me? I’d like to get Authentication on my 3rd Account even though it’s inactive.

KEy fobs were retired years ago its mobile or nothing.

Then why would they not allow pre-paid phones to be authenticators?

Thats not a blizzard decision i think im sure someone will post with more information.

and why did my At&T Prepaid work fine?

It’s not specifically against any particular company. Some people’s Crickets work just fine, some people with regular Verizon accounts won’t. It’s more how the FCC has the phone number filed. For some reason the system Blizzard uses, there is something that doesn’t like some classification. There isn’t any way to work around it though. Your provider will tell you Blizzard must do something, Blizzard will tell you to go through your provider. Neither of them can adjust it though.

Then why did my number work with one provider and not another one if its the fcc that matters?

That’s a question to ask the FCC, they set the regulations.

Don’t know, you have to take it up with the FCC, they make the decisions.

Ok thank you all
