I just switched to a new phone. My old phone was a Samsung Galaxy S9, going to a Galaxy S22 Ultra. I have my serial and recovery number, but I used the Samsung Smart Switch to transfer everything over. I checked out the authenticator, and it still has the old serial number and recovery code. My phone number did not change. Will I have to reset the authenticator, or can I leave it alone?
If it swapped over and you still have the same serial number and recovery code, you shouldn’t have to do anything else.

I think you could just leave it alone, (someone can call me on this), but I think Samsung treats it like you moving your folders from one hard drive to another on the same PC.

Kinda/sorta. I still had to re-login to Reddit and Spotify and all of that stuff. This is why I had to ask; I know I had to reset everything from my LGk10 to the S9.
