Trying to reestablish my authenticator. Its asking me for my serial number and security code. I have the serial number but i have no idea what the security code is or how to get it. Any help is appreciated

This is in the mobile auth, not the physical one.

And I think it is the restore code, not security code you are referring to.

If you are setting up the auth, it might ask for the security code the auth generates on the page, click enter manually.

I appreciate the reply! Im trying to open the battlenet app on my phone, going to the authenticator and it continues to say, something went wrong, cant connect to servers. Keeping me from getting to the info needed or even using the authenticator at all. Any thoughts?

Judging by your lack of corehound pet on this accounts armory, I think you already removed the physical?

If that is the case you just need to set up the bnet app up with the authenticator.

The stand alone authenticate will not work, and should not be installable, but if it is ignore it.

What you need

  • Your mobile device (iOS, Android)
  • Cellular data or Wi-Fi
  • Access to your personal email
  • Your Battle.net Account email and password

*Your phone must be able to receive Battle.net Phone Notifications

Setup

  1. If you haven’t yet, download the Battle.net Mobile App to your phone
  2. Open the app and when prompted, log in with your Battle.net Account
  • You will be prompted to enable the Battle.net Authenticator and to set up SMS Protect if you have not yet done so
    • If you need to set up SMS protect, a security code will be sent to your phone for verification
  • If you did not previously have an Authenticator attached to your account, and are currently online, you will be kicked from the Battle.net desktop app, the game, and any mobile apps you are logged into
  1. If you are not prompted to enable the Authenticator:
  2. Open the slide out menu by tapping the icon at the top left of your screen
  3. Click on “Authenticator”
  4. Wait for the setup to complete

Congratulations, your Battle.net Account is now linked to your unique Authenticator Serial Number and fully protected.
