Authenictor broken

please help me blizzard. i cannot find your phone number and my account is locked. i cannot even use battle.net atm cause im locked. i need to play WoW

What exactly os the issue if u need to get ahold of blizzard it has to be done via ticket the phone number been discontimued a long time ago.

If you need to remove your authenticator and can’t receive the SMS/Text message or authenticator code you’ll need to submit a ticket.

Click the blue box that says “Verify your account information”.

Why can you not submit a ticket? Did you try the URL I provided and followed the direction I gave to click on the blue box that says “Verify your account information”?

yes i am receiving an error. why cant you ask me questions or give me a phone number. i even give you permission to look at my currrent accouunt info to turn it off

Vrak isnt a gm he cant do it and like i said earlier there hasnt been a phone # in may 10 yrs

There is no phone number to call Blizzard. That ended over a decade ago. They also will not ask you personal account questions that are related to your account security on a public forum. You need to use the ticket system.

They need you to verify that you are the registered account holder before they are willing to remove the Authenticator.

Also, how is the Authenticator broken? Are you not getting alerts sent to your app? Can’t generate a code? Broken physical authenticator?

Well… this is not a contact point for direct support, especially to remove or update a security option. It certainly isn’t a place where it would be appropriate to provide personal information.

The link I provided should allow you to submit a ticket.

At what point are you getting the error? Can you provide screenshot of what you are seeing? I checked that link and it seems to be working.

If you did not link to an authenticator then there should not be one on the account. Is it actually asking for an Authenticator code or is the account Locked for security reasons? They are two different things.

A locked account can happen when you log in from somewhere new, use a different device, etc. To unlock an account you usually just need to change your account password from your new location or device.

If someone DID put an authenticator on your account then your account has been compromised by someone - who had the password and email. That would mean your email and any other accounts are at risk if you have malware or fell for a phishing scam.

Yes, you CAN use the ticket system without one. You use the option Vrak gave you. Usually there is a “can’t log in” link if nothing else.

If you did not put an Authenticator on your account, then someone else did.

Yes, you can.

If you are attempting to do so while you are logged into the forum it will ask you to log in and provide that information but you should be using private browsing.

If you go through private browsing or incognito mode use the URL I provided, enter your email, click on the blue box that says “Verify your account information”. You’ll need to answer a couple of questions that are account related, answer as best as you can. You then are directed to another page that will allow you to provide specifics about your account and what you need.

I would highly recommend that you self report yourself for your name and request a name change. Your current name is highly inappropriate for the game and goes against the EULA. If you self report, you won’t have a black mark against your account.
