Same. For a few days now.

The irritating inconvenience I’m running into with their ā€œsolutionā€ is that if I leave both bnet launchers up/active and close out of both wow sessions, the next time I press ā€œplayā€ on the two individual launchers, it attempts to launch two sessions of wow using only the first account I pressed play on. Thus pressing play on the 2nd launcher simply disconnects the first session when it loads up the same account again.

To be clear, if I press play on 1, it launches 1… then press play on 2 and it launches 1 again. Conversely, if I press 2 first, it actually launches 2… but then press play on 1 it launches 2 again. Each launcher has the different account name at the top right so I really don’t understand WHY it’s choosing to launch this way. – Anyone else seeing these same results keeping two bnet launchers running with two separate accounts?

The only solution I’ve found is to close the second bnet launcher, starting a session on my main account. Then after the first account has launched wow, I launch a second copy of bnet using my second account credentials and THEN it will launch wow on the proper account.

I don’t understand how they could be so stumped, it started in concert with the maintenance so they at least know where they should begin to look.

Interesting. A 15MB patch just happened and now it’s being reported on a different thread that you can once again log in using the executable. – Tested just now and I was able to launch my 2nd account using the executable again.

I pay for a service. I don’t need to be ā€œgratefulā€ that they let me use their service. If they remove that element of their service, I will definitely reconsider whether I pay multiple subscriptions to their service.

Therefore it’s in their best interest to fix the service, instead of expecting fanbois on copium to play defense for them.

Confirmed I can login again from the wow.exe (though one of the weird side effects of having multiple battle.net launchers open is they ALL tried to patch it and caused issues. I had to close all but 1 to get the patch to go through).

Still not working at this end (Burning Crusade, Mac), with no update available. It seems odd that it would need a client-side update since it was a server-side change that broke it, but maybe they’re rolling them out version by version (I think there are six different executables in total).

Yeah it was definitely a client update. As I tested it before I logged completely out and it didn’t work. But as soon as I fully logged out and let it update the client, was working again. I’m on 9.1.5.42010 now.

Retail is working for me, but neither Burning Crusade nor Season of Mastery are. Is everyone else seeing the same?

I haven’t got Retail installed right now, but yeah BC isn’t working for me.

Hi Iron – this is not correct unfortunately. This is happening to me no matter what I do, UNLESS I entirely remove the authenticator. No other workaround works. This issue persists across multiple machines, and only impacts one of my two accounts – both accounts share the same authenticator. Hope that helps. Please fix.

Same here, ages ago I ended up with three battle net ID’s for 5 accounts, had nephews spnding the night an granma an granpas house, so it grew from 3 accounts to 5 so my Dad and I could play too when they were here.

Yes, I’ve bypassed Battle.net application since it was implemented. Only have to use it to update. All good with waiting. Thanks for letting us know!

Hey everyone.

Just here to say the developers look to have a fix being eyed. I don’t have an ETA on when the patch will be pushed but wanted to say progress is being made on the cause. Thanks for everyone’s patience again!

This TBH ^^

Yeah, it’s strange. The two games are supposedly built from the same codebase, so you’d think that a fix to one could easily be applied to the other.
