Australian Subscription Price Increasing Again

Blizz, just charge everyone in USD for now on. Problem solved.

What a daft post, I’m sorry you feel the need to behave this way towards others because they don’t live in your country, the price Blizzard increased to, REGARDLESS of it’s being a conversion to the US dollar, isn’t a realistic model on fair pricing model WITHIN Australia.

Amidst the cost of living crysis and massive inflation the country is currently dealing with, the price increase is enough to be a deal breaker for a lot of Australians/NZs.

The company is simply out of touch with it’s AU/NZ consumers and ultimately will lose them in the long run, and even though they may only account for 3-5% of the total population, that’s still millions lost in profits.

And you may think who care they will come back, there is some damage that the company cannot recover from overtime.

Didnt they twice now once in SoD and now in anniversary give yall your own regional server and BOTH times they flopped extremely quick, im sorry im sick of your country’s whining about everything just quit or stop demanding special treatment

At some point you have to blame yourself for not protecting yourself against a failing currency and blame your government for failing you, the voter.

Blaming blizzard for asking you to pay what everyone else pays is a very far and distant third place concern

If I lived in a country with a failing currency I would have been buying crypto and precious metals endlessly the last few years to protect myself against a failing government.

Lots of their issues won’t be solved from that.

they’d have to write the leaders of santos and woodside for change. Go to the source lol. One of my fave your tube series is honest government ads. Noting its people from there who love to tear apart the regions matters.

I love the line
oh you thought the governments was protecting you from the companies. Aww, sweetheart, we are protecting them from you!

Please tell me how buying precious metals would of helped me with my WoW Sub, also you clearly have a severe lack of understanding in the corruption within the government of AU, when it comes to voting in , Australian’s at this point are voting in who will do less damage because both options (and there are only two) are bad.

Sorry I a lonely voter wasn’t able to overthrow a nation’s government so I can play World of Warcraft, yikes.

P.s
OCE had a very healthy population for 15+ years of the game, no one actually asked to be merged back with NA, stop making things up.

Let me give you a basic timeline of blizzards failure.

(SOM) - Swamp of Sorrows AU - Server was fine had a health population guilds on both factions no issues blizzard decided to yolo open transfers to NA despite massive pushback against it which in turn killed the server within 3 weeks most of the players who were forced to NA quit within 2 weeks following those transfers.

(SOD) - Shadowstrike PVP AU / Penance PVE AU - Despite player feedback strongly requesting 1 singe pvp server with the reason being we do not have the population to sustain 2 seperate servers blizzard ignored this and went ahead and opened 2 servers ofcourse historically the PVE AU servers always die first this was the case once again.

Not only were the oceanic players split between PVP/PVE AU servers but some also opted to play on NA due to blizzard killing our server in SOM previously now rather than allow penance players to come to shadowstrike despite the oceanic community strongly against the transfers blizzard once again decided to open them killing the AU server completely within 2 weeks.

(Anniversary) - Maladath AU - Now with all the damage done to the oceanic region and players being let down by blizzard multiple times refusing to listen to player feedback and making horrible decisions for our region. A lot of players fed up with the AU servers being treated so poorly rolled on NA that combined with the playerbase split between various versions of wow has resulted in a low pop AU server.

No doubt blizzard once again will open transfers further destroying the stability of the oceanic region for all future iterations of wow.

Some will try to make the claim the oceanic region does not have the population to support a single server this is completely untrue in the past we’ve had multiple AU servers in retail the largest being Frostmourne and in classic we had multiple AU servers the largest being Arugal both of the largest AU servers never had any population issues and are still active till this day.

That’s right, we hold a referendum of 2/3 majority of states and 2/3 majority of population before we make any posts on the WoW forums.

Hahahaha. Yeah, sure mate, all of those strings of 1s and 0s are really going to be worth something if the global economy goes down the drain. Good luck trading Bitcoin for bread after you lose your alleged job in finance.

Retail works better since its x-realm everything besides mythic raid. I was cael and nagrand there.

I started OCE in retail. Instanced PVE and pvp
mixed it up nicely with the US night owls.

Retail is also warmode. turn it off and even retail OCE’s famed alliance bias in retail is not an issue for horde. Want to be 10 on 1’d as horde? Turn it on. want to chill in pve in peace, turn it off.

Cata series
the pvp server is horde biased. the pve is not really lively. So the pve folks probably went US west coast servers. Or joined the horde on the pvp since odds were good for them there.

OCE classic solution
warmode. Not a liked idea I know. But its a big reason imo, they keep up good numbers.

just play on the US severs it’s cheaper

For any Americans wondering, the Aussie Labor party is basically the same as your democrats. They have also manufactured a housing crisis on purpose. Hi Canada, Hi UK!

Hello reddit. Still haven’t heard most countries are in a recession or coming out of one.
The US / China sneezes everyone gets a cold

Sir I live in America.

This is literally our life. The richest man just purchased our presidency for $300M lol

You don’t need to preach to the choir hahaha

This definitely sucks but it’s because our governments (on both sides, because anyone clued in will realise that both sides of politics only cares about one thing – bending over for the rich and wealthy) has deliberately acted to destroy this country over time.

Our dollar has tanked and the general population want the RBA to cut interest rates because they are up to their eyeballs in debt because of how high house prices are in this country. Our economy has also simplified over time (i.e. death of manufacturing) and both of these things can result in a weaker AUD.

This is just another symptom of mismanagement of this country by morons who care more about taking care of their political donors than taking care of people who were born here and have paid taxes all their working lives, it’s precisely why they’ve imported over one million people the past couple of years because doing so makes labour cheaper for big business and it pumps up housing costs, just look at how ballistic rents and house prices have gone post-COVID. Politicians care about no one except themselves and their rich mates.

Haha this guy says he knows finance and then advocates buying cryptos and precious metals to offset a costly Blizzard subscription

Just stop whilst your behind.

Would you like to check the price of gold vs the AUD over the last 5 years?

Titanium? Silver? Cobalt?

Rare earth and precious metals are one of the safest investments you can make to hedge against inflation and FIAT currencies

‘Wow this Australian blizzard subscription is expensive’

‘Well it’s your fault! Buy dogecoin and a bar of gold instead!’

Ok.

It’s called investing.

You purchase things that will appreciate in value faster than inflation or loss of currency.

Keep using that savings account buddy I’m sure one day you’ll do just fine!

Nobody cares american literally nobody.
