Australian inspired expansion?

I live in China back then, and MOP is pretty well received, in fact many argued that MOP was made for Chinese audience.

Before MOP, Blizzard almost lose their ground in China because of WOTLK and Cata contain too many blood and skull, in fact Blizzard’s original partner suggested for Death Knight to be cancelled otherwise the government will ban WOW in China, it was a close call, but WOW manage to get past the censorship and still allowed to operate.

But the Chinese gov is still salty about it, that’s why Blizz made MOP to mellow them out (this part is just a rumor).

You damn noobs we don’t even have that many dangerous animals

We get like 2 snake bite deaths a year

Most of the stuff just runs away from you or is just passive and kinda cute

Like the USA has cougars, mountain lions, bears, wolves, snakes and all that

We have a couple of spiders that kinda suck if you get bit by them and dingos were are basically wussy dogs

Like even the most dangerous stuff is just a cute colourful octopus

I did a quick google search.

Says Australia is the country that has the creatures with the most deadly venom.

The second most dangerous animal in the world are humans. Second to Mosquitoes only.

LOL, I didn’t even think of that, but it would be fun, just our heads would pop out of the pouch like little joeys haha

So a massive version of the Barrens then??

Be a good place for blizzard to take away both flying and ground mounts. For added fun they can give us limited walk time or we die in the open dessert.

^^ This ^^

On another planet would be nice. Going to some magical realm or land that magically appears on azeroth is getting old.

Scared Weird Little Guys have never lied to me before…

I love Australia and have traveled extensively there, but I don’t think it really has enough distinct flavor to build a whole expansion on.

  • The mythology is lacking. The Dreamtime stories are vague and inconsistent across tellers. There isn’t exactly a full-blown philosophy built on it.

  • The environment isn’t sufficiently unique. Other than having red dirt and primarily Eucalyptus trees, the terrain kinda just looks like Durotar, Feralas, or Westfall depending on which region.

It just doesn’t work in my opinion.

And I love Australia! One of the most beautiful countries in the world.

Maybe a zone, but not a full world.

Yes but, that’s was the Exception not the rule, Australia was a penal colony

I feel like every expansion is inspired by Australia, because they all have giant spiders and everything is always trying to kill me.

The wombatren are vastly superior and I absolutely will fight you to the death over this.

We already have Gargons aka combat wombats :smiling_imp:

If we get kangaroo mounts, can I ride in the pouch?

First of all, hehe penal

Secondly, while both countries took on convicts from the UK, Australia certainly took more. But there were still plenty of free men and women

Though people are usually more excited about being related to convicts here. I guess something about sticking it to the man /England.

Rationalise your beginnings much you wanna
I guess… The truth of the matter Australia began as A place to house convicts away from mainland England

And then they get to 10.1 and add in the New Zealand Patch

-Hunter’s have access to a new “Sheep” pet type, with 200 new tamable appearances.
-New Lucy Lawless based raid, It’s seriously just you guys fighting Xena, sorry we got lazy
-Help the Gnomes Gamwise Samgee and Bodo Fraggins deliver the Bracelet of Power to Mount Boom.
-Knives are no longer called knives unless they are at least this big

-Platypusperan players who selected mammal-milk and egg-laying powers at character creation can now produce their own custard with the cooking skill and some added sugar.
-Fixed a bug where whirlpools and toilet flushes were spinning clockwise.

Your controls are inverted and everything is upside down.

All I’m saying is it was around 60,000 (over 60 years) in America Vs 160,000 (over 80 years) in Australia.

And that we’re more than fine with it, as some celebrate it :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok then …

Carrying on with your theme, this seems like a more appropriate setting
