Mages arent gonna have a lot of problems finding groups rn. Frost and fire absolutely slap, currently.
Aug is going to make it hard for all ranged classes to get groups. Aug + Shadow is already two ranged spotsâŚmost groups would take a melee as the third DPS.
Why do you figure that is? VDH/bear, aug, sp, fire mage is perfectly viable and arguably one of the stronger comps rn.
I would be really interested to try an iteration of mythic+ where the group composition is 1/1/4. 6 player dungeons.
There are so many buffs now and so many classes wanted for a specific thing in every group that I think it wouls be cool to experimwnt with 6 player parties instead of 6.
Maybe even look at making new support specs for a few existing classes and creat 1/1/1/3 compositions with that 3rd role being support. Im not saying its a good idea, and maybe it will suck, but what could experimenting with the ideas hurt?

I didnât know the release of Augvoker caused the highest Neltharus key to exist. You knowâŚthe run without an Evoker.
If anything the mage changes have impacted the front page as much if not more considering how locked in their slot is as well (only 2 runs not having one). Funny thing with that is one of those 2 runs also didnât have an Evoker.
Itâs a 29 UR now but ye, I missed the 28 nelth that was done last week. Thought we were still at 27s.
Itâs pretty clear what the comp to beat is right now.
And I think all parties involved with the comp should probably be addressed barring the tank (Guardian needs an equally good tier next patch or it is back to bottom barrel).
The issue with the comp of that UR is it does literally everything AND good damage. Youâll never die since you have 2 dps with insane survivabilty further amplified by Aug. You get Devo+Fort+MotW alongside Mass Barrier+Breath of Eons.
My observations have been that aug intrinsically makes the highs higher, and much safer. We did a giga lust pull to start a 21 UR last night and both of the dps I was buffing came close to hitting 2million dps.
It certainly needs to be adjusted but I think that Blizzard is letting it stay this way because more information on a new spec/role like this is better, and keeping it strong for a bit ensures that they get as much data as possible.
Spec needs to be absolutely deleted you straight up canât even pug anymore if youâre not THE meta specs and both Spriest / Aug are on perma lock with Mage probably taking 3rd slot soon. Games a joke. If Riot can pump out balance changes every two weeks STOP LETTING SPECS DESTROY THE ENTIRE GAME BLIZZARD.

Further, your rationalization is moronic. You can complete keys without potions, lust, flasks, food, other players, among a litany of things. That has nothing to do with relative performance and competition, even self competition. If I want to do a higher key than I am currently doing its idiotic to choose not to use potions because people can complete keys without potions. In the exact same way itâs foolish to chose to do keys without a tank or with the worst performing tank/heals/dps. If I or my friends want to see how high we can go with a specific class comp thatâs fine and dandy. But if I am pugging and have the option itâs ridiculously foolish to not take a class that is more likely to add more dps, defensives, and utility.
i healed a 15 with one of the dps being an aug evoker. it was probably the most fun iâve had in a dungeon all season lol
Bringing in support specs to other classes has been mentioned in at least one of the interviews prior to the patch. May depend on how Augmentation is received overall, but I hope they end up doing it.
I also wouldnât mind seeing 6 player dungeons, it would also help ease up on the DPS queue times if it was extended to all the queued content too. They would definitely need to set some checks in there though, likely limiting to one support spec in a group. Otherwise, it might get awkward getting the dungeon done.
Itâs actually refreshing to see them experimenting and trying to expand what we have available to us.
Yea, Blizzard should have added tools and hooks to see what the augvoker was bringing to the party, not leaving it up to external tools.

You are wrong. Its not black and white. DPS play the game to do damage and dps meters show the damage. I get loot literally just to do more damage. DPS meters give then gratification and the dopamine hits.

In a guild⌠I donât know, maybe the delusion of actual friendship or of the person on the other side of the internet seemingly giving a crap about you or your life could allow for the tolerating of garbage playing.
For pugging, however⌠there is no reason for a person to tolerate garbage. The other pugs are not humans. They are NPCs who you can take into content.
First time? Lock and/or mages have been must-takes for raids and M+ for ages, often to the detrimental effect of other classes due to the meta meaning subpar players could easily out DPS decent players in other classes on logs.
But blizzard has never added tools to see what people are bringing⌠so why is this a problem now?
