The thing is, the ‘minority’ that are heavily using the addons really are only buying stuff to resell it and not buying items to effectively use. Kinda like IRL, where the people at the top just hoarde the money. The AH gold sink doesn’t matter if you’re making that money back, you can’t make the money back if you buy the AH mount. You get zero return from it, and therefore it’s a real gold sink instead of a faux gold sink.
Keep being angry, I hope you make Blizz mad enough about it they disable it all.
Why? There are no rules telling people how much or when they can list their items. People can do a lot, some or a little and that’s okay. The systems should be able to handle it and if they cant, then the systems need worked on so that they can. With all the things that the game has been revealing about the expansion, thisbhas more players interested and coming to sub to thr game. More people logged in, more people posting on the AH… so logic says to update the system to handle the larger loads.
Very true, they could reduce so much overhead by not having the factions improperly combined on the AH. Not only will the AH not have to filter horde versus alliance anymore, but they have two separate instances of the auction house running independently of each other in their own hardware space.
But your gold does up, not down. Buying the AH mount, your gold just goes down with no up. You don’t recoup that gold, which is the point of the change since a minority is basically taking in millions and billions of gold while the average player actually doesn’t even have a million.
you dont get the gold back because you get a mount, and that mount is WORTH 5 mill. if i buy an item and resell it for whatever i want and someone buys it, then i should be rewarded with the increase in money personally, but the overall supply is still going down because of the AH tax.
I mean, it’s not worth it to me therefore I don’t buy it. But I also don’t have even double it’s cost, really. Not sure it’s even worth it as an AH player since you would do a lot of the AH posting on an alt for bag space and listing reasons. ‘Worth it’ is an opinion, the ‘overall amount’ I don’t think is going down because of raw gold farms, Emissaries, and more Lesmorn. You can argue the average players gold has definitely gone down since Legion, but not the AH players.
Personally if people mass posting things, removing them when undercut and re posting them was causing an issue on the system, then I have no issues that they put a time limit to how fast and much one can post on the AH.
It’s largely the timing of the change that a lot of people are taking issue with. Blizz spurred the mass posting by removing the Brutosaur and then they’re trying to make it sound like they’ve always been against AH add-ons.
Please consider rolling back this change, or curtailing it significantly, the auction house and running large operations was a large part of why I played the game as long as I did, and with these changes that removes a large reason I would want to keep going. Thanks!
the reason why i say worth is because blizzard sais its worth 5 mill when they put it for 5 mill on a vendor and its the only way to get it. its a fixed cost weather i personally think its worth it or not. and yes the overall gold has increased because of raw farms but thats again thats by blizzard design, trash in classic sells for coppers but trash in bfa sells for hundreds of gold so naturally the total gold is going to go up. and im not arguing that the average players gold has gone down, but i dont see how this change effects that. people that played the AH were rewarded for their time investment(making groups, farming recipes, searching for cheap pets and tmog), any average player can learn these things by watching some guides on youtube, these addons are available to everyone. if i spend time learning markets and trying to post at proper prices and check for rescans while youre out having adventures, why shouldnt i be rewarded for that. and if the problem is that the AH is slowed for everyone because of that, why isnt the response to try and make an AH we both can use rather than destroy the way 1 use it while youre unaffected?
Ok, not no one lol, some people list random crap for 10 million gold.
Fun fact though, a lot of those weirdly priced items are people buying gold from chinese sellers. Like if you ever see an item listed for 100000g and the rest are like 10, probably buying gold.
its not garbage if people buy it, why do you get to decide what garbage is? i post hundreds of glyphs an hour and they all sell so clearly people want them. so why cant i post them??? if they dont sell gold makers wouldnt put them up, but they sell thats the point.
RAISE THE LIMIT, this is still absolute annoyance and unneccesary. you want specifics? okay i can’t post 50 battle pets and go do something else in the game even. thats like 5% of what anyone feeding the market does. fix this.
