I do, but I’m not a normal player.
Normal players tend to not visit the forums.
What difference does that make?
ZinAnthid has already tripled in price on my server within 24 hours. So, hey, great news for the botters.
What’s funny is that people who sit there on their AH bots all day think they’re performing a valuable service to the community.
“I provide an important service by buying up everything that other people farm or make and re-listing it for higher prices, and this makes it inconvenient for me to do that.”
Good.
Obviously you don’t know too many casuals. They could care less about most things. They log in, do a daily, maybe a dungeon and log out.
They won’t be posting 100 of anything let alone farm for mats.
A lot of people that play on RP servers but don’t RP think the same way.
I’m pretty sure FIFO would make the problem worse
That’s because it’s Tuesday. New raid week.
It goes up every Tuesday.
I guess you’re actually just ignoring the prices, most of the time, and just let the addon do everything, eh?
thanks for making my posting take 3 times longer, i really enjoy sitting around on my long boi on my bank alts, it’s what i play the game for…
I think there’s a misunderstanding here, let me make an attempt at clarifying. I was saying that no normal player is going to have every profession in the game. So saying “it’s called playing the game” isn’t a valid argument because a normal player can’t just hop on their x profession alt and craft/farm what they need.
AH Goblins are in their own world. I’ve met a few who think they do a valuable service by buying something for 1000, selling it for 3000, and they think they helped the guy just because it was available.
Very deluded.
I’m not a big auction person but there used to be a way to see the items on your character without shift + clicking, it just required scrolling. I’ve basically stopped looking at ah because I don’t want to be on the keyboard and mouse that much outside of active play. Maybe I am missing something but the “show on my character” option coming back would help that.
Nope. It’s currently 55g per herb. It hasn’t been north of 43 in months for any sustained period.
This isn’t a weekly fluctuation, this is simply fewer players choosing to use the auction house and allowing a few players to monopolize the market because they’re willing to use the broken AH.
But TSM isn’t automatic! You still gotta hit the post button.
If no one wanted them, then no one would buy them, and I’d lose money on the posting fees until I grew a brain and stopped posting them.
#economics
The majority of people aren’t sitting there all day, they’re out getting things to sell.
Hurting that 1% who are literally scanning all day would be a good thing, they slow the AH down, but this is hurting just about everyone who posts even moderately.
So 24 hours ago people stopped posting Zin’anthid because they knew through precognition that Blizzard would post 6 hours ago about an Auction House change.
Got it.
If this change is going to continue, at least be very VERY transparent on what the limits are. Having vague language of “It should be essentially impossible to encounter the new limits for most players.” is not helpful.
The big and small fish on the AH have a very important relationship with each other. Scaring off the big fish will not make small fish grow bigger.
And entirely wrong, the limit is around 25 actions… 25, that’s not even a full bag.
