With yesterday’s changes to the auction house AH addons like TSM, Auctionator, and Auctioneer are pretty much unusable. It takes an absurd amount of time to scan the AH let alone actually post things, that is if the AH doesn’t error out on posting forcing you to close it and re-scan.
I would be completely fine using the default UI except for the fact it is terrible for posting auctions. Firstly, there is no option to post stacks of 1, you have to manually split your stack in your bag and post them one-by-one!! So if I have a stack of an item that isn’t an even 10/20 I’m forced to manually split it or just post it as is hoping someone buys it. Additionally, the default prices the UI sets for your postings are seemingly arbitrary, so you need to first search the item you want to post, note the price, and then manually enter your undercut price for the item on a separate tab. An absurd number of clicks just to do simple posting operations.
I acknowledge that TSM was too powerful with the advanced queries/posting it could do but honestly there was no reason to break simple posting operations done by Auctionator/Auctioneer. It’s incredibly tedious and time-consuming now to the point I just gave up trying to post anything after about 5 items.
If I have a stack of an item that is an uneven number, say 33, I may want to post it as a stack of 20 and then 13 stacks of 1. It’s rare someone is going to want to buy that stack of 13 of something unless it’s a bulk item you were already buying a ton of, but people are much more likely to buy stacks of 1 because they can pick exactly how much of that item they want. There is a legitimate use case for posting stacks or 1.
If I could just post my items out to the AH void and people can buy however much of my stack they want I would gladly post it in the biggest stack possible, but as it is now buyers have to buy the entire stack or nothing. Something something retail auction house.
To do something like this now would take 12 clicks. 3 to split out each stack of 10 and 3 to split out each stack of 1 and another 6 to post them. 12 clicks to make 6 auctions. That’s not even counting keystrokes to split the stacks, searching the item to see its price, and then typing in the item’s price. All of that to post just ONE ITEM. The classic AH is terrible and the reason these AH addons were so popular to begin with and now they’re all but broken with no alternative from Blizzard.
Default UI is awful for buying. It sorts by bidding price which is garbage. Bidding is such an awful thing… just remove it. Buy outs only. What are we doing here.

Even just making the default be sort by buyout per item would go a long way, instead of having to use a macro to set that. But yes, I agree the revamped auction house should be implemented, it would fix so many issues.
Addons were fine for the entirety of classic and TBC. It’s just the recent changes from Blizzard that made things worse, not better. I don’t think they want to revamp the AH due to fears of breaking more even further.
