not even the warrior next in line for thunderfury enjoy the weekly 10 minute geddon-garr spanking.
you are either frustrated at the low drop rate on chase item, frustrated about not having anything whatsoever to get from there ( but still ‘‘having’’ to do it for guildies) or frustrated that people keep bringing alts in green and what should be an effortless run through easy content become troublesome.
except that it’s even worse in TBC : when you clear illidan you have nothing to look for in T5… but you still got to do it for new recuit… and unlike MC-BWL, clearing SSC-TK actually take time.
oh yes… and now we dwelve into one of the most lovely aspect of TBC raiding: guild poaching! with twice as many incentive thanks to the attunement part.
Can’t wait to see guilds crumble after they kill Kael’thas thanks to 8-10 of their core raider leaving for a more progressed guild.
y the time it becomes an issue attunements will be phased out.
It didn’t happen as often as people make it out too. ALso theres going to be a completely different landscape to TBC this time around. With gated content more people will be attuned than normal thanks to 3-6 months spent in tier 5.
We know the phase cycle and they’re commented on nerfing attunement requirements as the expansion goes on.
… wow, my expectation in this forum are low, and I still got disappointed.
‘’ let keep some attunement around who aren’T a really good gatekeeping bar as the attunement itself is harder than everything minus the endboss of the raid they are gatekeeping… and whose process is so tedious it killed guild and led to a superbly toxic environment where people keep poaching people’… that’s the kind of quality content we love and enjoy!’.
Depends on how you look at it. If you want the The Wrath Crusade, than sure no problem! Throw in mechanical gnomes while we’re at it.
However, if you want the authentic OVERALL TBC experience, then you’ll want to keep attunements. It seems like people don’t want want TBC, but Wrath Crusade.
people want the good part of TBC without the tediousness of it.
I understand that some vanilla-TBC fanatic are somehow addicted to all the timesink and pointless grind in those game but… yeah, to (hopefully) nobody surprise, there’s a very significant portion of the playerbase who could do without the consumable farming, world buff meta, meaningless rep grind and attunement who don’t make sense.
Now, what I (also) didn’t mind was PG (Proving Grounds). This way it forced you to prove yourself, ALL by yourself. With Attunements, it allowed for outside help. With PG it was completely solo. That’s me, though
Nope. Unless you’re blind, you’d notice that majority of people don’t want TBC for the game itself at all.
But at the end of the day, the thread is about are you for them or against them. If you want them, you probably want TBC as the game was. If you don’t, don’t disillusion yourself that you want TBC. Which is totally fine. The Wrath creep is real.
Attunements are not hard. any serious raid guild will easily get all their raiders through them. Most likely some sunwell patch they will remove the attunements as well. They removed them later in TBC and sunwell seems like the perfect time to do that.
A bunch of people with fond memories of it will try it again, and realize how easy the PvE content is and how little content there is outside of PvP.
bosses will fall over in record time… nerfed versions or not…so the attunement will really just become as chore to do for alts or new recruits… it’s not gatekeeping anything.
but yes, i’m sure the TBC puriest will delusion themselve about the value of attunement…
Heroics can go sideways pretty fast. Even after you’re geared. Survivability and damage output by players is definitely higher… but CC and timing still matter.
and TBC was a different beast to what it’s going to be. Most guilds on my server killed Kael literally once before heading into Tier 6, this won’t be the case this time around.
People are going to be farming Tier 5 for months, this will drastically increase the recruitment pool.
Heroic dungeons in questing gear are easier than high level keys in good gear so im not sure what point you’re trying to make.
They’re also not hard for mediocre guilds either, Nothing in TBC requires a huge amount of skill or requires the raid to do something on “hardmode”. Literally the hardest part of getting attuned for BT is killing Kael. The second hardest would be not dying on Alar.
