For the BFAbies complaining about damage (particularly the guy who just made a list of broken classes that was literally 90% of them):
If every class is broken, none of them are broken. Damage is high. Yes. That’s the way it’s been for the vast majority of the lifespan of the game, until BFA (which by the way is largely regarded as the worst pvp expansion ever)
If you’ve either a) become too acclimated to dampening snooze fests or b) have potato reflexes and cannot react fast enough, that’s not a game design problem. That’s a you problem.
The health of PVP depends on the attention it gets. The attention it gets depends on the popularity of the AWC tournaments. The popularity of the AWC tournaments depends on the pace of the game.
Got gud. Stop whining before and they turn this game into a snooze fest again.

Nah legion was the worst, Templates and no Trinkets. Scaling was terrible but an improvement so you could play your character.
This is true if everyone is Superman then no one is Super and you are just a man.
Templates replaced PVP gear. It was inferior to actually having PVP gear, but vastly superior to PVP being dominated by mythic raiders and IO farmers.
My damage went from good to bleh
It totally didn’t. Templates replaced having a choice of playing your character in an RPG game. The Devs made a mistake, admitted they were wrong and got rid of them.
Legion was unplayable and people unsubbed because you couldn’t make a build in PvP. Gear didn’t matter.
No Templates were the most hated thing ever introduced into PvP. I rather at least do Mythics and be able to play my character in PvP then not be able too at all. BFA was way better than Legion because you had plenty of ways to customize your character in PvP, essences, gems, stats, corruption, azerite etc.
PvP trinkets didn’t even work in PvP in Legion. Enough said. It was the worst.

I mean I could come up with a calculated response from that, but arguing with 40-something year old dude who only plays tanks in PVP and basically does no real arenas is playing myself.
Abom gonna Abom

You already played yourself when you attack the person and can’t discuss the topic. It’s weaksauce. Gonna just let the thread die.

All the PvP I do is real now and mainly because it’s now RPG PvP again. As opposed to Legion where there was no RPG PvP.
I mean you’re literally making nonsensical arguments. I have to sit here and figure out if you need to be corrected or if it’s even worth the effort.
From BC-WOD there was PvP gear. Legion got rid of PvP gear (as in, gear specifically designed for PvP with resillience, PvP power, or scaling ilevel in PvP combat) and replaced that with templates.
They also disabled trinkets in arena. Every single busted PVE item was unusable in PVP. Instead, you got templates in instanced PVP.
That is an irrefutable fact. But I’m arguing with the guy who was telling everyone at the start of BFA that Azerite gear was going to be amazing and refreshing, so it’s helpful to point out to you (and everyone in danger of taking you seriously) that for someone who does 0 serious arena , has 0 arena achieves that are worth a sh*t, and even admits that he doesn’t take arena seriously; yet here he is—- relentlessly trolling the arena forums and spreading misinformation and biased opinions.
Why point out the age? Well, you’re (self admittedly) in your 40’s on here arguing with teenagers who know more than you do on the topic. It’s kinda cringe.
Its actually insane that people thing reaction times are a thing in this game.
Because there is. Just because this isn’t a twitch shooter dosent mean that you don’t need to react to what’s happening in a timely manner.
Yea its not about being reactive though, its about being proactive with the knowledge of what is going to happen and how to stop/recover from it. The people who are “reacting” are the ones complaining about damage.
Also, abomb definitely going to abomb…
We can’t have a conversation about damage in a vacuum. Arena is way more than that. We have fundamental design asymmetry in this meta that is pushing a handful of specs well above the rest.
Half of the healing specs have way more HPS, utility, defensives, and mana efficiency than the other half. We have dps specs that not only top damage, but can outheal damage as well. Specs that can one shot, also have insane control and defensives with little to no trade-off. Prot pally, which is tuned to be a livelord pve spec, is allowed in arena with no pvp adjustments.
Try actually contextualizing the current meta before telling people to get good.

Yeah man going from 100% to 0 in 4 seconds is working as intended! Why don’t we ask bliz to remove GCD’S while on it so you could just roll your face over the keyboard in order to get kills.
