Attacking game developers

did a bunch of blizzard devs recently come out and say they don’t play wow? where is this coming from?

Contrary to whoevers belief you do not have to play your game much to be able to design it. Putting up invis walls, decorating environments, adding sounds and more don’t require a professional gamer.

This Dave Filloni really rescued the franchise. I’m currently watching Rebels and Ahsoka, these shows have the true essence of a Star Wars movie.

that’s an interesting theory. what do you base it on?

What do you not like?

Ehhhh maybe they deserve backlash sometimes considering some of the weird things they’ve done to the game.

They insisted on “systems” while the community dislike it. They took every step to make you feel miserable in SL (long interconnected flight paths to the other zones) to push the MAU. They insisted on the covenant-system although everyone told them from the first beta day on that this is not a good idea. They even further reduced the %-income in quests, so you will do them even longer than ever before. They continued to spat on the legacy characters in every possible way and then they wonder, that people left for FF14? Together with the lawsuit it was the perfect storm.

The game suffered from simple mistakes to “play” the player, which resulted in a massive backlash. Everyone and their mother would have had seen the turnabout coming, but they insisted in their stupid pride until the very end. Things started to change with the 9.1.5 patch, when they lost a good bunch of the players, granting suddenly the players everything they have been asking for. Absolutely not hypocritical at this point.

The deserve every dislike, hate, bash and so on for ruining the game way too long. WoW is, or better said, was the #1 in the world and they drove it into a bin with stupid ideas to increase the rat maze further. That’s why DF feels so good to play, because they abandoned everything bothersome, although they try to go back to these systems slowly but steady again. They don’t learn anything from the consequences.

you’ve described a lot of things you don’t like, which isn’t synonymous with incompetence.

It is incompetence. When you ruin a running cash cow, then it’s the prime example of incompetence.

ah, so you have data that the game is doing much worse financially these days. got it.

Can I have your gold?

Absolutely, if you don’t really give a crap about what you’re making. Minimum viable product…

Consumers (players) of a product (WoW) have every right to provide any type of feedback they want, though civil discourse makes it easier to mutually find a resolution.

Going “Karen-mode” isn’t the correct choice if the player’s desire is to continue playing a better version of the game. “Karen-mode” only really “works” when the desire is to part ways but exact some sort of compensation in the process.

Since TBC tbh.

I didn’t start playing until Wrath… was unaware they had catch up mechanics… thanks for the update.

Everything you just posted is destructive criticism.

All you did was point out flaws and define things, and make generalizations. You actually didn’t even define or outline constructive criticism.

You didn’t tell any of us how to improve, doing so would have made us better and provided actionable steps for us.

Got it.

You only want an echo chamber of complaints.

If you don’t agree with the complaint on any level…you are a Blizzard defender. Just don’t voice it. The people complaining are so sensitive they need to be sheltered from anyone disagreeing.

Also.

“WoW has no community. No social aspect. How dare people post on the forums if they don’t dislike the game”

Weird take.
