They never made any sense as a class in the 1st Ed. ADnD system.

Way to not click past the first graph. If you did, you would see they are top 10 for damage to bosses. But considering you can switch specs between bosses to a more AOE focused spec, not sure being bottom of the pack for overall even matters.

Someone has to be the worst. They have two other melee specs that are hopefully doing better. Now If all 3 are at the bottom, thats when we have an issue.

A class that can play all three roles is at the top and a class that can only dps is at the bottom. Not sure why that is ever okay but if we expect any sort of balance in this game anymore we only have ourselves to blame. The balance has been pretty terrible for quite a long time, it was never that great to begin with.
At least Assassin does great in the pure single target fights that there are almost none of.
I play assassination because im not a min /maxer . I know i can do more dmg if i switch to sub or outlaw but meh , why ? Im playing what i enjoy

Rogues are just the worst class period. I can’t imagine anything MORE boring.
How can they be the worst blizzard when they don’t even learn any ice-based spells. I mean, yeah. I guess a blizzard without snow would be pretty lame. But a lot of classes would be equally bad blizzards.
What’s snowy about warriors? Okay. Here’s my class-as-blizzard tier list:
- Mage- The GOAT. Has Blizzard and can use it.
- DK- Number 2, no slouch. Frost spec, lots of ice. It tracks.
- Shaman- No blizzards per say, but all of the necessary elemental tools to make a blizzard.
- Druid- Same as shaman. Maybe not a blizzard, but they do have some storm related spells.

Take it from me, someone who actually plays assassination. The amount of effort to do even sub-par dps will leave fingers broken after just 1 dungeon. Constantly watching bleeds and poisons, making sure to interupt and time the interupt for the next interupt, blowing through all cd’s perfectly. Any slipup and its over.

I play sin and do just fine for the content i do, which usually stops at +20 keys but i dont go higher because i dont want to, not because sin is bad on sims.
Sims arnt the end all be all of dps. If you enjoy the spec or class youll do just fine. Unless you are pushing world top keys or trying to get CE the class and spec you are really does not matter.
I really wish this mentality of “that spec simmed low so i wont even take them to this +5 even if they out gear it.” Would just go away.

I had that trinket in my vault this week. Had to pass on it. Standing still for 10 seconds just feels so wrong.
