I don’t think I am alone in my frustration with getting aoe garroted over and over and over again. I feel like they should maybe make it so it only silences the primary target while still applying the improved garrote dot to nearby enemies?
Also, it feels like I can’t move quickly whenever I’m fighting assassination rogues, is there a slow that isn’t affected by freedom?
also you are not alone, they have one of the best snares in the game and its easily applied. p sure shiv makes it like 80% or something which is just too much. fighting some like mage/dev/boomy/lock with an assassination on their team is disgusting. walk like a snail at them the entire game
I think it’s fine if they have to blow another vanish or meld for a second silence. But being able to just sit there and spam aoe garrote on the entire team while subterfuge is up is kinda too much.
It should be one silence per subterfuge, let all other garrotes still be empowered dmg wise from stealth, just the silence portion happens to only the first.
yeah, They need to figure it out. assassination used to be about poisons, bleeds, and overall DOT with some burst. not as much control as sub. Now it is basically a better sub.
outlaw never dies, has big damage and has big control.
sub is the one with damage and insane control.
This needs to be thought about with the design of these specs again.
System shock used to ignore freedom effects, but I don’t think most rogues run that (or even press envenom to proc it).
Yeah, crippling poison seriously needs to be looked at. It’s literally chains of ice with no real resource cost because throw knife costs like no energy and generates combo points from ranged…
Agreed. I think the 12s duration of empowered garrotte is absolutely insane.
Assa rogue IS squishier and more killable now vs pve comps with veil of midnight going away, but that preemptive meditation feint pvp talent is CRAZY into go-based comps that can’t effectively punish the rogue.
The hard part is that rogues are currently really fun to play. Everything about the kit is so frustrating to play against, but I’m playing a rogue alt a bit, and kind of hate how much I’m enjoying myself on it
I see it in 2s occasionally where someone runs kingsbane, but to do the build effectively they need to give up the cleave bleeds.
So true, bestie!
Oh definitely. As much as people like complaining about broken things (myself included), it’s genuinely FUN to play. I got my elite set on assa rogue just running around applying bleeds and CCing off dr and it was legit 10x easier than playing my main spec of like 6 years XD
