How does an Ele live through one, just wondering
you don’t, you kill his teammates before he kills you. fortunately its not hard for ele to solo kill anyone they want at almost any point

The other response was pretty troll, so let me try and offer you a more grounded one:
- Assa rogue can kill just about anyone they want unless there’s a bleed removal / immunity (hence all the hpals in AWC against rogue teams).
- Ele shaman must rely on teammates to help with the rogue.
- Being a dwarf can help, but most rogues will kidney you into deathmark, and assa rogue 4pc tier just puts their damage into the stratosphere.
So how do you survive their burst? Stun / cc them on deathmark so they cannot reapply bleeds / do extra dmg during it. Use defensives on their big go. Kill them or their teammates quickly. If you get a cloak early in a match, you very much can dunk on an assa rogue. They’re quite squishy.

start with primal earth ele and try to pulverize the rogue when you’re stunned into deathmark

Keep kiting and force em to follow you into your side of the map and try to (or hope your team can) take advantage of the enemy team going out of position
Use static totem + totem movement to teleport the rogue away from you when they wanna do a setup(usually they shiv before they kidney which is an obvious sign)
Also might wanna start using a battlemaster trinket

These are good tips. Ele has a lot of disruption it needs to use to prevent uptime. One thing to note:
Static totem + projection is kinda buggy. I’ve had it fail multiple times. The range is very finnicky.

1. Race change to dark iron dwarf and watch them never deathmark you ever again.
2. Have a weak aura that shuts your computer off when they use deathmark on you. (only other viable counterplay)

What is hilarious is that an Assassin rogue hunter team still lost even though Assassin rogue is absolutely busted right now in AWC because of how weak Hunters are defensively to melee cleaves. But Blizzard thinks Hunter defensively is ok.
