If you’re a hunter, just unsub. If all hunters unsubbed today, blizzard would know what they did was the wrong course of action.
It’s the only thing in our power that we can do, because that’s how things work. SOD was a scam job from the beginning though. Feels like they built it in a day, and is very rushed together.
Blizzard doesn’t understand that there’s a real human being playing the hunter, and they feel like all these complaining types should be catered too, instead of the people that have supported their game for 2 decades ( the fools, myself included ).
Numbers with no context are all with these people care about. Never mind the fact that they all have cool gameplay changes that will continue into the rest of the phases and likely make them much better than what Hunter is going to be especially after these huge nerfs. The only remaining pure DPS is not allowed to do top DPS. That’s just too unfair.
Being a buff bot, especially at the cost of removing other fun gameplay options is supposed to be the cool gameplay change for Hunters. /s
For Lion I at least felt a bit cool that it gave it to everyone around me. Especially both in and outside of my party. Especially since only 1 hunter had to take it for a raid and the other hunter could go Master Marksman or Cobra, etc. But I guess blizzard heard we were having fun.
Every other class gets something. They can tank + DPS, heal + DPS, Tank + heal + dps, etc. Hunters get DPS and that is it (like you said) but we are not allowed to even be good at that without people complaining. Just look at hunter vs warlock runes.
Hunter - 10% crit and need to stand still for 6 seconds (so unusable in PvP or raids)
Warlock - 10% crit for you and your pet, and no movement penalty.
Warrior - 25% bonus to physical damage done for 12 seconds after activating bloodrage or berserker rage.
One of these things is not like the other (it sucks as a rune), and got nerf before game even went live. I will give you a hint - it isn’t the warrior or warlock rune.
Trying to find the words to describe how lame someone has to be to have 2900 posts on the WoW forums; responding to messages like their friends are texting them. I suppose this is the replacement for the things you don’t have. Best of luck with it. I post here to give crybaby feedback once every blue moon, because believe it or not, they respond to it if there’s enough of it.

That’s ridiculous. No one plays or cares about hunters. They just came up with these numbers without knowing anything about what they were doing. 30% crit was more crit than you could even get in classic at full bis. I don’t even care that they nerfed those, I care that they didn’t replace them with something that is actually fun and unique. Our runes are so lame.
Need a couple things from Blizzard here. If you aren’t going to have a Beta/PTR and have people to help you do your job:
Hire more people to Test your game. Season of Discovery requires some really out of the box testing, that is normally done in the beta/ptr phase. For obvious reasons there wasn’t one, you should have picked up the slack.
Actually test things. It’s pretty clear that you guys didn’t. Gating certain Runes, several busted class rune/talent synergies, not actually testing pet/rune scaling, etc.
Why am i even playing hunter in SoD when they have nerfed everything to the ground? They pretty much no different then classic era now. What a joke blizzard.
12 hours not a word huh ? immediate to nerf things that rightfully so so were a bit overtuned. but breaking things without any acknowledgment and then ignoring them ? yeah i have been away from wow for almost a decade. and not paying a subscription for this kind of crap tier customer service. unsubbed and moving on.
