Can you describe to me what makes them strawman arguments in your mind, and how they fundamentally differ from emote-based player interactions in the context of toxicity?
Why didn’t you just post this in your other thread about your sjw crusade? Weren’t you getting enough attention there any more? /comforts op
As for Asmon, seems to me he doesn’t need your advertisement of his opinion. Then again, his name alone will generate lots of responses for you in this thread, so nice try.
This person can’t because SJWs do not care about well thought out discussions that go against their pre-conceived notions on how the world around them should behave.
Asmongold, one of the biggest hypocrites I’ve ever seen. Do fans of his really not see his grift? The dude will say and do anything to get people pissed at wow so he can make a buck. Wait until he turns on FF here soon.
While I agree that removing /spit was the right move, Asmon doesn’t help the cause. What little I’ve seen from him has often been toxic and arrogant, hardly a good spokesman for any cause.
I agree!
They should combat it by not including retail stuff like paid mounts, “QoL” improvements that weren’t part of TBC and so on.
They should have just given us a true to the original reincarnation of the game, including the support back then in regards to at least attempting to balance servers and dev involvement in the community.
Let’s do a little hypothetical thought experiment, since that seems to be where you’re operating from.
The year is 2002. Blizzard is designing a new MMORPG.
Explain why they should include a /spit emote in the game to begin with.
After you finish your explanation for that part. Move on to the next part.
Now imagine blizzard never put a spit emote into the game to begin with. How many people do you think would come to the forums and ask for that feature to be put into the game?
After you’ve gone through this thought experiment and you’re not entirely insane. You’ll see why everything you just said above was idiotic.
