Streamers are also players.I think people get uptight over people the community doesn’t even know in real life.If you don’t like a streamer just don’t watch,simple as that.
No, a better analogy would be someone who believes taxes should be higher. Does that mean they must pay more than they owe the IRS now? Or a conservative who doesn’t believe in big government. Does that mean they shouldn’t apply for government jobs or contracts?
It does depend on their rhetoric, I suppose, but for the most part, you have to play by the rules of the game as written. If they were claiming it was an issue of personal morality not to use the boost then that would be different.
I suspect he’s an entertainer and so it really isn’t an accident that he went anti-boost and then used one. It makes the most sense if you assume streamers are trying to maximize clicks.
While I, personally, am not morally oppossed to the boost, I do think its bad for the game. A funny thing I’ve noticed - I have little desire to play the free boosted characters I got in retail from xpacks. There’s something about leveling a character that gets me attached to them in a way the free ones just don’t do for me.
Why do you think they reduced the price of copying characters from 35 dollars to 15? Because the community and every “known” person with a voice, aka, thousands of followers were extremely against it. All of the people who spoke up helped push against the price being so high and it got changed within a week or two.
The same could have happened with boosts, except they would be removed and not reduced.
