Well that is very idealistic of you but I think we both know that people just want any reason to hate streamers. If it fits their hate narrative then that is the point where they shut off their brains.
did you just compare calling out a streamer with countless viewers who will do everything he says on his purchase of a product that he himself on several occasions said is unhealthy for the game to cancer?
you have issues
Iâm not saying youâre wrong ofc. Iâm not actually idealistic. I just act as if that were true because then at the least it gives me a chance to flesh out the ideas. Thatâs all I meant really.
You werenât paying attention then.
People need to realize that streamers are people too
I might go watch the latest Asmongold video
lol I am anti boost and I bought 2 of them. I may be against it but Iâm not going to ignore free gold.
you bought 2 boosts just for 50 gold? a little desperate donât you think?
No. I bought 2 boosts which are both 300 tailors and alchemists which will print gold with spell cloth and primal mights in TBC.
I wouldnât call that free gold then, since you had to put in the effort/resources to level those professions
lol its free gold to me. What effort? Iâve been preparing for this since before ZG came out. Sure I didnât know there would be boosts but I have been planning on having at minimum 5 tailors and alchs since pre ZG. I wasnât one of those people who said âblizzard hasnât even announced tbc yetâ. I knew they were going to do it and I prepared accordingly. It takes no effort to stand there and level professions. With the xp nerf it takes very little time to get to 60 from 58. Tirion Fordring quest in EPL, a few quest in Winterspring, and a few quests in Silithus and youâre there.
this effort, right here
Nah⌠not effort. How is it effort to randomly pick up cloth when I was already doing stuff that dropped it? You can sit here and try and tell me my own motivations all you want. You donât get to decide what is effort for someone. This game is very easy. You get cloth just from killing mobs. You are wrong. Accept it.
Iâm literally complimenting you on a small accomplishment and youâre taking it as some sort of insult. Holy hell, get over yourself
Nah⌠you arenât. Complimenting someone goes like âgood jobâ or âcongratsâ. You canât now try to turn it around.
I was certainly trying to. Youâre so blinded by your head being up your own behind that you canât see it
This doesnât make sense. Itâs like if a pastor of a large congregation made a huge stink about making premarital sex illegal and then having premarital sex as a joke after it became apparent a law wouldnât be made.
Like it or not he has a lot of sway over the community and his over sensationalized opinions on things like this have real effects. People have a right to call him out on his hypocrisy after suffering from players empowered by his opinions.
The truth is, boosts just arenât that big of a deal. But he and internet personalities like him get the community all riled up just to go, âMight as well use it since it is in the game LOL.â Like did he need it? Was it really that big of an advantage for asmondgold to buy the boost, or did he do it for the clickbait?
One of us ⌠One of USâŚ
Tho I do respect the fact he still to this day hasnât collected a store mount
I disagree. I donât wanna touch your example tbh cause I have a feeling it would drag the discussion in a weird direction. I get the point but iâm just gonna move past that for my previously stated reason.
He isnât being a hypocrite. His position was never that you shouldnât USE the boosts, it was that blizzard should not ADD the boosts. I have the same opinion. Once blizzard decides to add them theyâre in the game and thereâs nothing the players can do about it. The stance isnât that the boosts are inherently wrong but that they would have an overall negative impact on the game. The negative impact is done the moment theyâre added and using or not using them is going to have a completely negligible impact.
I think the main issue here is a fundamental misunderstanding of the stance. Iâm not saying you have to agree, but at the very least it is logically consistent. Cheers.
