Asked for T5, got T4. Now I have to waste acuity for a recraft

It doesn’t. The system allows you to put in guild or personal orders with greater control over what you put in and what you get, but you have to interact with folks and use those tools. The public order system is designed to be quick and accessible to everyone to enable crafters to fill orders and rank up their stuff.

It’s no more ridiculous than anything else you did in this self-inflicted debacle.

After seeing the problems in DF, public orders require all materials to be provided by the patron.

Not gonna say the commission but it was 4 digits. Yes, all T3 mats.

I proved this wrong to you last month. This system is working exactly as intended.

When leveling a profession, I readily ignore those. Me when I use the notes? I try to make it funny and humoristic. Got a nice friendship with a cauldron maker in DF cause I called her cauldrons extract of soggy socks, She claims she always added extras for me!! Find a crafter!

OK then.

Maybe next time don’t use a public order. or you’re just playing the lottery again.

Oh, so you’re trolling semantics, because you refuse to acknowledge what was actually being said. Got it.

No. Not just someone who could make it. Someone to make it at the rank asked for without spamming trade chat for an individual.

Glad to know I was right and that a conversation with you isn’t worth the effort.

That’s not the purpose of a public order. Even Blizzard has stated that (linked above). It gets it quick, enables crafters to level their trade, but does not allow picking a minimum rank.

5g? Wow… I’d be more suprised I didn’t get a T1 with that.

Oh ok, so 1,000g then, so you paid the crafters next repair bill, so generous.

Ok, this person basically just ended this thread. Impressive. :beers:

No, I’m going by exactly what you said.

Ok, then don’t say:

Say that you want to find someone who can make it to your specified quality.

Really must have struck a nerve or something.
Seems to happen a lot here these days.

Also your problem is solved by engaging in the personal order system.
You can specify quality with orders there, don’tcha know.

I found this in the other thread. Pretty much sums it up:

Crafters can basically only do one public order a day so no one person is greedily snagging them up.

See, this is why I didn’t specify. No, it wasn’t 1000g.

Well no that doesn’t, its already been quoted in this thread what sums it up, and its a blue post.

Technically they did not get what they wanted crafted. They asked for it to be T5 and instead got T4. The OP was specific with what they asked for but was given something that did not meet those specifications because the system does not allow for that. There is no harm in admitting the OP did not get what was asked but should use other methods to make this does not happen again.

To accept an order with a note requesting a certain rank and not providing it is pretty scummy and they should not have done that.

But

Did you really offer 5 gold for it?
Thats a pretty insulting offer for max rank.
5k gold perhaps.
But 5?

This is the dumbest post about this. Having the option of a min which exists elsewhere does not mean you have to use it. It exists elsewhere with both functionalities so there’s zero reason it can’t exist in public orders with both functionalities.

You removed the sarcastic emoji. Christ in Heaven…

I look constantly and I do about one player order about every two weeks. If it asks for t5 and I can’t make it, I let someone else do it.

The entire original purpose of the system when first announced before expansion release was so that people did not have to seek out individuals like this.

But this is what it became after people whined about it in beta.

The point is that it should not be this way. Public orders are completely worthless on most servers and the system is mostly useless in its current iteration. Some of us would like to see changes.

Also: Primerate is on ignore for a reason. If you missed his thread where he trashed people caring about the current charity, be glad you did.
